Shot with a white wall as a background with Sigma 500 DG flash mounted on the camera bounced backwards and 45 degrees up. she got bored soon so I was lucky.
Snowy is a rescued cat that became a member of the family 2 years ago on 28 of Feb 2011. We were told that she should be one year old that time. She had a severe condition with her ovaries full of liquid. She was desexed then taken care and passed to a foster mom before ending up with us. Many thanks to the foster mom. I heard she's missing her. I guess she was abused as she still shows some signs of fear and she does not usually sit to be pet. She seems to be happy now and she is half outdoors half indoors cat.
Here she is couple of days after she joined our family
and some more of her
with my daughter
Sleeping
Being pretty
and challenges

and one more blue
And sleepy
And a red ribbon
And yellow...
and negative Snow :)
and more

i came to your page to pick my favourite pic .. and of course this photo of Snowy jumped out straight away ..
i love that she was a rescue cat .. and that she had a wonderful life with you and your family for many years ..
what a great surprise to see all the photos you have taken of her for dpc .. i havent opened them all but the thumbs are wonderful .. :)
A gorgeous cat, and the shot is SO well executed! For all those who think editing is where photography is going, they need only look at what you achieved with light. It is always about the light!
@ mariuca Snowy will get the catnip and some nice Japanese roasted fish!
@ neat thanks. even though I do not shot for ribbons I'll take them when they come ;-)
Great attitude, I looked at the score thread and at 5 votes you were 6.40 so you gained a full point, not bad eh~
No Tibby, that is excellent! See, you don't have to take the cat in fuzzy ways, you don't have to throw it through the air or whatever LOL. Not knowing it was yours, but I fancied this one as the winner.
