Looks like I am being voted down because I don't seem to have gotten the message of what exactly constitutes duotone despite my repeated attempts to do so by posting questions as to what exactly it is here on the forums prior to the challenge closing.
Most comments ask me where my 2nd tone is. In fact I see 3 tones if I count the white as a tone. Most of the other entries I see have the same tones albeit in different color then mine so these comments confuse me even more.
Here is a photo of the duotone image that won the DPchallenge Duotone challenge a while back. It looks to me to contain the same amount of tones (Two) just as my image does.

i guess when in doubt you can go with black and white. thats what i ended up doing, since i didnt want to deal with people not approving or getting dq'd or whatever. |

If you have the same number of tones, I don't think it's you that misunderstanding duotones--I think it's your commenters. If you've looked through the duotones challenge--you'll notice there are definitely people that didn't understand the concept. |

Are you in, Andrew? Cuz if you are, a mere 6.87, is nothing more than "nice try" range :)

It's been going in the right direction. Took a while to climb out of sub-5 territory, but some folks that like it are starting to show up now.

I like Melethia's idea. I may do the same, and vote 100%, then comment on those who want the feedback. |

24 hours later and now scoring about the same as this shot, its up on yesterday but much prefer yesterdays image to this!
Originally posted by Ecce Signum: My duotone entry is currently scoring a shade below this shot...
both are considered below average images to the dpc masses so, do I continue to try and educate the masses or give up? |
