Hmm, what does one being yankoed by yanko imply? |
|
|

To be yankoed is to post a comment and have it ignored, only to have someone else post the same and get response and credit for the thought. It seemed to happen to poor Yanko so often that the phenomenon now bears his name :)
In this case you suggested the liquify tool, nobody responded. To be a proper yankoing, yanko's post suggesting liquify would have been followed with such as, "great suggestion, Yanko." ,"thanks for the help, Yanko." Get the idea?

another thought...
if you want to have a positive message, what about something like this (it's long winded, but can be cut down easily)
18 - 19 year-old age group has the highest rate of pregnancy
Teen mothers are more likely to not finish high school or college.
It is estimated that as much as 80% of unwed teen mothers end up welfare.
Newborns of teen mothers tend to have a lower birth weight.
They are more likely to do poorly in school
They hhave a greater chance of experiencing abuse and neglect. I
It has been found that sons of teenage mothers are more likely to wind up in prison.
Daughters of teen mothers have an increased risk of experiencing a teenage pregnancy themselves.
I am part of the first statistic. I will not be part of the rest!
ok, poorly worded too, but you get the general idea. |

i don't think the bright future one will fly.
i know a 16 that just delivered her first baby. she has awesome family support, system support (special schools, etc.) and even she recognizes that she has a hard row to hoe ahead of her.
Teenagers should be having fun, learning about life, etc. Instead, the young mother is suddenly thrust into a segment of the population that she may be prepared for.
I like the stretch marks one better. To me, it seems more "realistic" in what I've seen in teen pregnancies.

Yeah, the one minute comment was a bit harsh on the boy. |

Instead of "the responsibility ..." I think I'd make the tag line something more like "a mom is a mom forever" or "motherhood is forever" or something along that line. |

Love this one, but might have more impact with some real numbers, "are more likely" sounds like propaganda to me, even if true.
But the last phrase is a real puncher. You show what happen, but give a glimmer of hope but implies taht it requires a lot of work and effort.
