I do not regard my opinion higher than anyone elses I just see a lot of my opinion is the right opinion goin on around here. I also believe there are a lot of folks that are here like myself to learn and appreciate accurate criticism but saying things are black and white..is not something I believe art (which I regard photography truly felt it)had room for......black and white is reserved for private academies ....

I was not snubbing anyone I was just hopin to make a statement that might make someone think a little bit about how they themselves respond or reply

It was not an insult aimed at anyone just an observation

honestly - everyone's entitled to their opinions and if they are confident then good for them.. art is subjective and your perspective can be right for you and wrong for me.. point is to respect it or fight it with a bit of decency..nothing wrong there :)

I think a 5.6 should win this one. I just voted them, and it was the lowest vote I have ever given a challenge. Eeeek.

Not trying to be a jerk. But there was photos of shoes, and flowers and all kinds of stuff taken outside. Some of the inside ones looked like they were last minute snapshots.

Again, not trying to be a jerk, but wow that was unusual for this site.

According to your average vote, most of the images here aren't even good enough to be considered average. no it does not...........I have learned a lot by the challenges here but what gets me is some of what is said above and in other challenges. I'm still not sure of my voting curve I'm not sure what a perfect ten is......I'm not sure anyone knows that or should as it should once agian and probably is subjective to the person oviewing it what gets me is the rules people continue to verbalize and the lack of out of the box thinking.....yes....part of the point of this learning process and bettering oneself is by guidlines but I think from what I READ on here is black and white.......and that just torks me off..ya know? No i'm no expert on the perfect pic as is evident in how I have been scored yes I have a passion to learn and such but I also believe in the out there and it does not appear in the posting but I have to admit in the judging it appears more prevalaint.....ok no sense made but 94 year old people have the right to not make sense!

I agree with someone in an earlier post (too tired to go back and quote) that there are a lot of beautiful men in this challenge, hehe. I gave out some really high scores on some of the portraits, faved a couple too. Of course, there are those that are neither studio nor portrait but I think there are a lot of really good shots; I was impressed.

Even with all the missing tops of heads ;)

That is the largest number of flip flops I have seen in two sentences! So you want and like criticism as long as you agree with it, but not if you do not agree with it because you are always right, even though you value other's opinions as long as they do not state them.

And you want to be here to learn and appreciate accurate criticism however things are not black and white and this is not the place for a black or white opinion? Is that correct?

Sorry, but I thought this was a thread where we talk about scores, which are the result of voting? Your avg vote cast has something to do with the votes that the rest of us receive, so therefor it is totally relevent to this conversation, and calling you out is the risk you take for participating in scoring threads when you obviously are one of the folks that vote others down.

Thanks for the asshat term though, I really like that one. :)
