There is no way I would even come close to winning the hat, but it does increase the pressure on those who might:))

Last challenge stays as is... I'll just do the simple math and whoever wins, wins.
I sent the last hats (besides the three I have left)... Two other winners will get their hats soon.
I ask those who didn't post their photos with the hat to do so, if you don't mind. Remember, in DPC history, it's the first time, and probably only time, you receive something (other than electronic ribbons) belongs to DPC.
I am working on a 10th year anniversary book as well. It should happen, but I am not sure.
Also, reminding you, one week left to add names to the final list. |

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't it be better to change the math to not favor people with a lower # of entries?
Perhaps something like ((start avg) + (score 1) + (score 2) + (score 3) ) / 4
that way the improvement is based upon the same criteria for everyone..
Then again, I'm not too hopeful for a win either way, this just seems more balanced across the user spectrum...

Next week Saturday (the 8th) hats will know their owners... however, I think all the challenges you enter actually changes your "average votes received" during voting, so "Bits & Pieces II" and "Magnifying Glass/Contre-jour III" will be included to calculation before they actually end voting :)

Doing the Happy Dance!! Thanks Leo for putting together a competition that gave me a chance to win.

After I send the last hats, and a gift code... this thread will be closed for good.
There are 36 people with DPC hats. I think I handed around 5 or 6 memberships between 2006 and now. It was much crowded here in the past, now it's kind of quite. I hope  Langdon will come up with new "UI design/colors" for the website soon to attract more people :P Not that I love to see 500 entries per challenge, voting is hell for those, but if there are more people joining, there might be some features integrated other than Side Challenges.
... and i can't wait to purchase my first DPC Coffee cup someday, and DPC shirt... and DPC 10th Year Anniversary Photo Book ;)

THANK YOU LEO!!!! I had completely forgotten about this, and am miserable about keeping track of trivia such as scores and improvement.... I'm SO stoked, both about my hat and my improvement. Who knew???
