Gained a pound. I blame it on the parents, who showed up at my house with six feet of strudel the other day. Six feet! Of course Alex and I ate about three feet within twenty-four hours. What can I say, I'm weak.

Last week: 173
This week: 174
05/16/2008 03:55:28 PM · #130
Now that must have looked interesting to see them carry 6 feet of strudel down the road. Tell me they didnt fly!!! lol

PS, if you need help on the other 3 feet, I am available to fly out anytime next week lol

Well, they were in three feet segments, and we hacked each segment in half then promptly gobbled up two halves. :) They also had bought some for my sister and others, so all in all they had a huge box of something like 24 feet of friggin strudel! Leave it to Germans to find the only bakery on the continent that sells strudel by the foot. :-P

ALl I could see in my mind was a MOnty Python scene with Struddel and your parents walking down the street with it.

SOunds like it was pretty darn tasty

Chart has been updated for week of 4/16/2008

Everyone that is still participating please post your weight lose/gain in this thread. You do not have to post your total weight, we respect that.

Thanks everyone for your effort. This thread has really inspired me to loose weight. Thanks NikonJeb for you words of encouragement and thanks to many others.

EDIT: correct error

Strudel by the FOOT?! OMG...

Just sticking my head in to say hi and offer encouragement...I remember a spring 'cleansing' recipe I heard about last year, seems to work (my thyroid went on strike last year and I gained weight slowly and insiduously...only about 15lbs total but I felt each lb as my metabolism had turned to sludge).

Shake together well 1 litre water, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, squeeze of lemon juice and about 1 tsp maple syrup (I guess honey works too) to taste, help get it all down.

Also please don't get discouraged by the odd weight fluctuation, just stick with what you're doing...and most importantly...everything in moderation!

Good luck to all, and allow yourself rewards...but only in moderation!

Did someone say strudel by the foot?! That's cruel and inhuman, I tell ya.

Weigh in:

5/2 217.8 lbs | 32.2 BMI
5/9 217.1 lbs | 32.0 BMI | - 0.7 lbs
5/16 214.4 lbs | 31.7 BMI | - 2.7 lbs --- 3.4 lbs total

Not bad. Heading in the right direction anyway. Going to keep posting my total weight, because frankly I need the shame factor.

Last week I didn't check, today I had 156 - did i loose any - yes, must be around 3 pounds!

begin - 159
now - 156

Thank you SDW for making that neat chart! I like the wide spaces for each pound, so even with a little loss, it looks like a great progress - very encouraging!!!

If you can get past the first two days...you miss solid food...it's a snap and you do lose weight. You will probably gain back roughly half once you start eating solids again, BUT it cleanses your system like no one's business! I suffer from allergies and this cleaned out the built up allergens beautifully! It is also known as the lemonade diet. Should you try this...I suggest the cayenne pepper tablets. Hubby and I made a huge batch, thinking we were so smart,heeheehee...and that stuff got HOTTER by the hour in the refrigerator, rofl! Almost couldn't drink it. :P We just added the cayenne as we drank it from that point forward!!!

Oops!

I guess I was supposed to put a number on my loss......4.6

BTW, Scott....I like the total weight loss number.....that's a GREAT idea!

Everybody remember that we all have a piece of that and it'll feel better.

I hope that my semi-sappy upbeat attitude helps.....I really am soooooooo much happier and healthier, and my life is actually better.....mostly how I feel, both mentally and physically.

Okay......dumb question.....

I have noticed changes in my, uh.......innards since I stopped eating junk food, fried food, and pretty much anything that's bad for me.

I definitely feel "cleaner" as far as, uh....emissions, and things have decidedly changed.

If I'm not eating fatty foods, and starches, virtually at all, do I need "cleansed"?

Sorry about the missing total NikonJeb. I have corrected the mistake and it should show up next to your graph.
Thanks about the DPC total. I decided it would get a good idea to put on the chart since it was mentioned in the OP of this thread.

Yep, as it's not all about the ...uh, elimination. ;) This stuff draws impurities our of your joints, organs, tissues...stuff you won't ...um, eliminate on your own. (Mucus, too. Sorry, folks!) That's usually the purpose of these cleanses. They do far more than "getting the tract clean" so to speak. :) (Want a real trip...do a parasite cleans. Suggested to do 2-4 times a year!) That's trippy...

5/16: 176.8
down .8
Total down: 1.8

And for anyone remotely interested this brings the total in 17 weeks up to 31.8 and two clothing sizes down. YEAH.

Good on you for the clothing sizes.

I know how terrific that feels.

About a month ago I went to Kohl's and bought two shirts and two pairs of slacks.

While that may not seem like much, it was the first time in about five years or so that I've been able to buy clothes off the rack outside of a Big & Tall shop.

Perspective check.......

I'd give my eye teeth to weigh in at "only" 214 right now! LOL!!!......8>)

So what's the procedure here.....you do this for a couple of days?

JUST the mix?

Or in among a regular diet?

The comment about eating solid food again leads me to believe you do nothing but the "cleanser" for a period.

With that loss to date, by the time we're done, we'll probably "lose" a couple of people!
