Started at 236lbs and down to 231lbs as of this am. Considering that last year at this time I weighed close to 290lbs I am happy even though my weight loss of late is not all that impressive.

I cut out smoking, drinking and womanizing... the only thing left is cutting out paper dolls :O)

jeez, is today weigh day....I'll post when I get home (I forgot to weigh!!)

Way to go everybody!!!! Sounds like a good week for people. Yeah!

** Remember, we're doing swim suit photos in August...muahahahaha!

Today: 262.4-Down 8.6 from the start.

As of June 4th, I have officially been on a quest to change my diet and exercise habits for six months since my doctor told me I was morbidly obese.

I actually sort of became obsessed about three weeks ago, convinced that I needed to hit that 100 pounds lost for this to be some kind of triumph.

A few days ago, I realized that whether or not I actually made that "Special" 100 number that the number is not as important as the fact that I have made outstanding progress, and much more importantly, I feel better than I can remember.

I guess the point of this particular ramble is that I'm just a regular, middle-aged fat guy that just proved, particularly to myself, that it is possible to make a choice and a commitment to personal health and well-being, and do it.

This process has been without and programs, elixirs, drugs, or any miracle answers......just good common sense and determination. Once I got into the change of habits, it's been both relatively easy and decidedly rewarding.

I'll be toting around about 100 pounds less at the Rickett's Glen GTG this Sunday.

This week: 172.8

That's three weigh-ins at the same weight. :/ Starting weight from the start of my diet before this thread was 208, trying to get to 165.

I actually gained a pound this week.

It's ok, though. Today is a new day (or tomorrow will be, today is over half gone)

Down to 197.7 this week! starting to go down again, hopefully I'll lose all I want before my bf's wedding!
