Day One - Outside
Let's hope I can make past the first week.
Coming back to this one, in case anyone cares, I took to heart the quite-right criticism about the poor contrast (and the bad desat attempt while I was at it), and attempted a correction. All further comments and critique appreciated.

This is, of course, a bream, (sea bream that is), and not a herring as promised. I am aware that some of you will feel disappointed but fear not, for the herring will almost certainly reemerge from the freezer to perform another day.

Well, I received a new toy in the mail today (Sigma 170-500mm lens) and went out looking for some birds to capture. Low and behold, they did not cooperate. So to kill the time, I took some close-ups from 50+ feet away. Sure I could have used my macro lens, but what fun is that. Anyway... here are the results for my day 1 and day 2 entries, day 1 at a focal length of 500mm and day two with a 1.4x extender (700mm).

Here's day one and day two of "People out in the world" I had about an hour of daylight left after work, and about 30 minutes by the time I got somewhere to shoot. I'll be out hopefully getting some better stuff this weekend!

Yes, I'm still at it... I won't be posting every day because these take waaayyy too long to keep up! But I have TONS of new props and costumes and lots of scenes in the works, everything from movie scenes to TV show moments to paintings to original creations :-) |
