I know it is not a rose, (it does have a flower in it) but I thought you might like to see this photo, which I put together of my favorite things.

Glad to be a part of this group, here's my first. It was shot in late April, but it's a stretch for me, as I'm learning to photograph people and do lighting.
This is one of the headshots I shot for "A Chorus Line" (a local youth theatre group production).
I thought the lighting was somewhat reminiscent of Dave Hill's lighting which is sometimes known as the "Dave Hill Effect" (think Lucisart filters). So I used it to try a PP technique, just using the sliders in Lightroom, to apply a bit of a Dave Hill effect/postprocessing. Then, I touched up the skin in PS, since that's the last step of that "simulation" technique. Let me know what you think!

Finally another...
I do have several more that are in various stages of completion, but they are lots more complex and are taking ages. This I just made up today so I could use my new light box. Even though it is simple, I spent about 7 hours on this from start to finish.

Here's number 8 for me. I know I'm behind, I was in Des Moines all weekend and my pictures are scattered between two computers and 3 different memory cards! When I regroup I'll catch up with my pics and the comments!
