:) A great spot to get a candid. The lines in the background add such interest and sparkle to this photo. |

Oh, I love that ride. I'm such a kid at amusement parks. That is the one place I don't feel uncomfortable taking pictures of strangers. Because most are oblivious that you're doing it, lol. |

You captured a great expression on her face. She is really showing the anticipation of getting the ride started, and perhaps over! :) |

Hands clasped and biting down on lower lip. Scared. I have to wonder if maybe she was a little out of her own comfort zone? Maybe trying to overcome some fear? |

Nice job. I haven't screwed up the courage yet to take pix outright of strangers - how did/are you dealing with it? |

Funny expression on her face. She looks like she anxiously awaiting the start. Nice job catching this moment in a strangers life. |

I can see this in BW, too.
The cables behind and around her really make this shot - so interesting. It seems like something more ominous than a fun ride is about to happen. Love the suspense! :o) |

She looks SO anxious. I think I'd prefer this in B&W. |

Good capture! Some creative tilt to this might give it more funk and dynamics. I too am hesitant to take candids of strangers, and a longer lens does help. |

good for you, it gets easier the more you practice, i think a festival
is a great idea, people expect you to take their photo.

I just like the simplicity of this candid image..... Take and shoot and it works..... |

obviously your comfort zone is when you are not taking candids of ppl you dont know on the street .. AND I DONT BLAME YOU ..!!!
but hey .. its a great way of connecting with total strangers .. a bit like having a very cute dog .. or any dog really .. even an aggro monster dog .. only that attention might not be so positive ..
OMG . how on earth did i get onto dogs .. ??
great shot ken .. love her abstracted look .. totally unaware of you .. and love all the metal rods coming down breaking up the shot .. wotever process you've done is great ..
by the way .. i cant zoom out in nik color efex .. went to settings and changed default zoom to fit , but it just reverted to default before i could apply .. i've written email to nik but i'm not confident that they'll reply soon enough .. i cant work in nik when i cant see wot i'm doing .. it was at 300% zoom this morning, and then it went to 100% after i'd done nothing a bit later .. HELP .. !!
PS .. something extremely time consuming will be in your letter box shortly .. posted it a couple of days ago ..
i know this isnt the place for a long message, but i dont think anyone'll care .. :) |
