Two for the price of one. I'll post commentary later. Tomorrow I'm flying back to Phoenix and not a moment too soon. As some of you may have heard, it's horribly cold here. And if anyone knows me at all, you realize I don't like cold (and bugs). Ha!

Hey all! I'd like to play..sorry late to the party. Heard about it the other day fromm y pals Jersey Genie, Patio and Stargazer so here I am, perfect timing with a freezing cold morning, and lots of snow. Need the impetus to get outside!

Where I spend my days. I work in this complex of buildings, called the ASU Mercado. I will explore this area with you over the next few days.

Day 3

This is one of the first farm homes built in green county. It is now in a park about a half mile from where i work. If you look on the right of the photo between the two trees you will see a guard tower for the federal medical center. It is where federal prisoners are take for severe medical and psych problem are treated.

and all home had one of these

If you want to comment, take your pick. I know that there are a lot of photos to comment on in this side challenge.
It was a work day today, so the only light that I had to shoot with was the same old Florida sunset light. The first one , brighten, S/H, levels. The second, adj temp toward blue, adj tint away from green a little, crop a small slice off right and top. These are both from the same spot. Gotta run. Hope to catch up on commenting sometime soon. I am getting a ton of comments, and hope that I will be able to reciprocate soon. : ) Those are sand hill cranes again.
It will be tomorrow or Sat. before I know more about how the crops fared last night.

This picture was not taken by me, but it was with my camera. This is the crew from the IT department. Me, my boss, and a co-worker. We were getting ready to do a webcam broadcast with a soldier stationed in Iraq. His wife was having their twin boys and we set it up so he could be in the room with her. They had a blast talking to each other and we really enjoyed helping them be together. We have done 2 of these now and I hope we can do more.

As you can probably tell from this description, I now work in the Medical Information Systems department. I retired last April after 23 years of service myself. Having been to Iraq, and knowing how hard it is to be away from family, I knew this was a chance to continue serving the troops.

Sorry folks. I was looking forward to receiving my Impact Digital Flash Umbrella Mount Kit today from BHPhoto. Got everything except for the brackets. Doesn't do much good without the brackets.

I have some nice stands and umbrellas. I guess I can ducktape them to my flash guns, but it wouldn't be the same. I've ordered from them alot, but this is the first screwup.

No problem, I'll just complain tomorrow and have them rush me some.

Sorry to be posting a day late but I had a horrible gout attack in my left ankle yesterday and couldn't walk. Better today but I have a very fat foot.

I'm not going to get a chance to shoot for the next few days, so I went on a little photo excursion this evening right after work and will be posting some of the better shots from that for the next few days.
