Don't know if it is just the impact of the rock on the composition but I feel the shot is going sideways :) |

One rule in graphic design is to keep your eyes moving in a triangular pattern. You have a great thin triangle of 1) Morro Rock, 2) the shadow from the rock, and 3) that little piece of wood or stump. AND the rule works beautifully in your piece.

Like the way the rock stands out relative to everything else. Also like the subtle reflections. Nice to see a picture of this thing -- I haven't seen it in person since the time I lived in northern California. |

Interesting place. Thanks for the story! I might play with increasing the contrast and saturation some for more drama, and cropping either some sky or some water to put the horizon more on the rule of thirds. |
