My daughter Eleanor demonstrates how to be positioned.
And Amy demonstrates range of smiles.

Personally, I think the January portrait shoot is worth the $20 it costs for a year's membership.

day 21
i had this tiger entered in the free study until about half an hour ago ..
i looked at some incredible photographs of lions and tigers and other animals in the 'best of 2007' challenge and realised that this would probably bomb out in january's free study, so i unsubmitted it ..
i did have a bokeh shot in the 'best of 2007' but did a self dq coz it was scoring very badly .. it just didnt measure up when compared to the amazing photographs in that challenge .. this is it in case anyone's interested and another one i considered ..

Here's some for the last few days.
This is the house. It was built in the 60's and it sure looks like it! It's got 4 floors, a nice sized yard and an attached garage, so I guess I really have nothing to complain about!
Got tons more eagle pics today. I thought one was eye balling Petey for lunch!
This is a gull that was dipping his feet in the water.
I was super excited to get this shot. I've been trying so hard to catch one with a fish in it's talon. This is a young eagle so it's feathers are still changing.

A few photos to let you see better where I work.
This is the building I work in. I work in the part of the building to the left of the fountain.
This is what I see when I walk in via the employee entrance.
Here is a view from inside the Prince Club House overlooking the golf course. |

Day 22
This is another iconic building in Manchester. The rounded Main Library, the day was too rainy so I couldn't make it much justice. The building to the right is part of the City Council and you can also see a bit of Saint Peter's Square Tram station |

I discovered an old abandoned building quite by accident yesterday. Most of it was boarded up and behind a very tall fence. one little part was "open" for business, and I was invited in to take photos. These young men were in the process of moving out, this was their last day of business.
The building is an old sugar beet factory and is on the historic register. My new goal is to find out who owns it or cares for it, and find out if I can go inside for photos. |

A family heirloom, and a trailer of oranges going to the big squeeze. The 2nd shot is right in the center of town, the county court house is in the background on the left.
I will try to get comments up to date in the next few days, thanks everyone for being understanding.
