 this is another one from the zoo a couple of weeks ago ... it was taken thru glass and there were heaps of ppl around so i wasnt able to get the shots i wanted & its not very clear .. i might'v been able to get better shots if i'd been rude and pushed in front of other ppl ... !!
i actually had this entered in the january free study ..but i thought it would probably bomb out after i looked at so many amazing photographs of tigers and lions in the 'best of 2007' challenge ..
i've just dq'd my entry in that challenge coz it was bombing out ..

anway .. i've unsubmitted the tiger .. so into our side it goes !!

A great capture of a very intent-looking expression. I like the processing of this a lot and think that the overall effect is absolutely superb, but perhaps it wouldn't have gone over too well with 'the voters'.

It looks like you did some serious processing on this one. It almost looks like a "velvet air brush painting" with the large dark area in it.
Congrats on your new "Blue * Yellow" ribbon!

She is creeping out of the shadows in a menacing cat-like way that is beyond terrific! Sometimes I want more than a perfect image, Roz. Somehow you always seem to deliver that extra oomph. You capture the essence of animals. But, than again I am such a fan of your artwork!! I would have given your image a 9 or a 10 because you captured her cat essence in an interesting manner!

i dunno roz, this has a hell of alot going for it. i am sure it would have beat my entry at least! i love the way you have it coming out of the shadows. spot on (and yes we have the same saying here)

It looks kind of surreal and scary! Boy, don't you just hate it when you feel that you have to pull something out. But I am sure you will find a terrific free study entry.
