There may not be much of interest in my portfolio but you're welcome to use any if they suit.

You are more than welcome to use any of mine. I think you're going to be very busy!

Good luck!

I paint myself, but take photos of certain things, a barn maybe, a rock bridge, a stormy sky and add them together into one. Once, that all I did was paint, till I found this place. Now all I do is photos. I think I got lazy, the photo shop part of it :-)

I take bits and pieces from spring, summer and fall to paint on a cold winters day. I paint mostly in the winter...I hate to get out in those cold days unless I have too.

I don't take the best photo's but have expanded my mind since I have been at DPC.

I've been trying to paint with glass enamels so I can fire my photos on glass tiles. But I flunked finger painting and paint by numbers as a kid... and I haven't gotten any better as an adult. LOL! So I'm limited to using fusible decal paper to put my images between glass.

Wavelength, that lizard on the glass would make a great fused glass image. It's a great photograph too.

Don't forget to take side by side pictures so we can all see the results.

Mike

Has anyone done this idea in the reverse. I have been looking at some wonderful paintings, mainly still life and recreating them in photo. It really is a lot of fun and quite the challenge. Especially since the artist can create the perfect light and shading. Best of luck with your paintings, can't wait to see how it all turns out.

If you could find anything of mine, I think it would be awesome. :)

Roxanne, I'd be honored to have you paint one of my images. Just let me know and I'll give you the papers. :-)

I've been fortunate enough to have several local artists paint some of my photographs, and I'm humbled (and pleased) every time.

Just to let you know if you wanted to use any of my images (i generally take shots on the beach if you were thinking "landscape") then feel free to have a browse of:

Rich Meadows Photography (my portfolio here is virtually non-existent as i am fairly new)

Most of my recent/best work is in the "Journeyman gallery" and the beach shots have their own little sub-section :)

ETA - ditto what SJCarter said (although no-one has wanted to paint my shots before), and also happy hunting - it seems you have a load of offers to browse through ;)
