 A Tiger in the San Francisco Zoo. It was getting up from a nap to get a drink from the watering hole and then looked up at me...thus it's wet chin. I've always loved tiger shots and was hoping to get a good one at the zoo. I realize that the composition might be weird to some, but I like it. The background wasn't really that dark in reality, it was a stone wall. But when I put it into b/w mode, brought down the brightness, adusted the hues and added the soft glow filter, it almost completely dissapeared. The only real dodging/burning I did was on it's eyes and once along it's back. I hope it does well...especially after my recent entries -__-

Update 12/25/2007
This tiger was named Tatiana, she somehow escaped from her San Francisco zoo cage and killed 1 man and mauled 2 others today. This is the same tiger that attacked a trainer 1 year ago. They shot her after she started to attack the police officers. Very sad. I still say that she was a pretty one and it's a shame that she became violent :(

Love the lighting on the tigers face, really pops and looks amazing, great with the black background as well.

Kitty looks quite soft and pettable and even the expression looks friendly. Not that I would want to test any of that ;-)
