ooo, i'm so behind. i'm so sorry, i've been grossly delinquent with my commenting. i'll try to do some more tomorrow. march break sort of put the kybosh on stuff, as the kid had no preschool - thus, no spare time for me!

and day 10 - the dragon pimped a little bit.

Not much difference in the thumbnail images, but there is some difference in the final version (I hope).

Will comment some more now (trying to avoid looking at the score of my color portrait, which has started off <5, which is not where I thought it would be), and will especially comment where people have asked for comments or are asking for opinions.

Day 11 - another not very fancy edit, but I like the shot. And I've discovered in attempting to edit my Color Portrait that I suck at editing. :-)

think this is day 7 .. i've still got to process day 6 ...
dont think i'm gonna process this one at all ... i like that it is a totally unpremeditated shot of someone i dont know .. i was at a cafe in Kings Cross, Sydney with shez sherpet .. these ppl were sitting at another table and this guy came over to pet their dog .. i thought the faces of both were classic .. like the dog and the man ... its a shame about the glass, but is was a very spontaneous shot ..

This is straight from camera, no crop no edit.
Is it ok if we just keep posting new images the rest of the month, and sharing comments? I don't really have the tools to do the heavy editing stuff anyway (yet), so I have been working this year on learning how to get about what I want right from the camera.
The new tripod is helping a lot with this kind of stuff. I can shoot more images and more locations because the tripod is quicker to set up than my old one was.

I generallly just made it lighter, and adjusted levels and sharpened a little. I would have made the eye brighter if I had PS.

Ok, Tammy is way behind....
1st one and third one straight from camera....Lighthouse was shot while it was snowing.

middle one of Kato, was cropped, nothing else.

Today was a very long day at work, so I took a little break and stared at the sun for a few minutes. We had heavy cloud cover here, except right on the horizon, so I went where I could at least get some long lens shots as the sun was setting thru the gap. There is an orange grove in the foreground and swamps in the back.
No edit, no filters, just another Florida sunset.
