Final score 5.050 with 99 5's.

This probably would have done better in the Minimalism challenge.

Aaaaaahhhh! Every time I look at this I feel a compulsion to gouge my eyes out and erase my memory! Other than that, it is a very nice photo. This conludes my critique.

Actually it looks like it received a thrashing about the face by a big ol' hickory "critique club". :P

I think not many people got the literary reference, even with the title of the poem in the title of the photograph

This is my lowest rated shot at 5.238.
But I still like it.

I view sepia coloring (A chemical process) much different than a duotone. To me Sepia has tones of greens, greys and browns along with blacks and whites. The challenge however, simply asked for only 2 tones.... ooops Still not a bad score for not meeting the challenge, but ....take it out of the challenge and it's a great portrait.

A little trivia:
Sepia was originally developed by using the ink from Cuttlefish (like a squid). Years later those cuttlefish dyes were replaced natural sepia dyes which narrowed the color down and brought more consistency to achieving the new desired color. Today; digitally produced sepia is still not very standardized and has a multitude of programs and colors available at the click of a button.

This was probably the finish that upset me the most. I am still lost as to why it is a sub-5 capture, but we move on.
