Did you discover those iris-eating beetles in your YARd? Evidently, they're related to the dreaded Japanese Beetle and destroy leaves, flowers, and fruits. Nasty buggers.

I'll be gone for a few days -- I'm hEADed north for my first music practice with Steve (my drummer) since the big fire. I'll have to rEAD a map to find his new place. Before I go there, I'm going to see Tom, my former lEAD guitarist (from the 1980s).

They have moved into one of the few remaining houses in Paradise -- I'll be bEAting a path there on Sunday -- will post pictures (and maybe music) next week.
