I'm repeating this b/c it's not showing up.. at least not on my system.. some kind of technical glitch.

It's great that you have a wildlife rescue service like that and yes, I would definitely contact them about the snake as it is venomous and could bite you or Katee if provoked. Toss me some letters when you get a chance. ;-)

EDUcation is vital to getting ahead, especially in rough waters.

The WATer has been very calm.

I love to sit out by the WATer with a book and a glass of wine and listen to the ocean.

Most times, I never open my book.

Do you have a PENchant for wine? A friend of mine from Indialantic, FL loves going on cruises. If I had a PENny for every cruise she's been on I'd be rich! (not really)

Despite what Mae West SAYs, too much of a good thing is not always a good thing. I could write an esSAY on the subject (but, thankfully, I won't) ...

Thankfully not. FEWEr essays are better than too much, whatever that means.

I would suggest that it's time to restORE this thread to its original purpose, but I'm not sure anymORE what that is, unless it's just to keep us from getting bOREd.

The purpose is to have fun.

However much involvement , or lack of, it takes.

Better out ATTitudes...

Yes, I love wine!

And cruises.

Wine on a cruise is even better!

:).

If we restore this thread to its original purpose (whatever that was) it would fade into oblivion. But we can make it even bETTer by just doing what we're doing (whatever that is).

The trUTH of the matter is... now I'm back from my cruise and the house is a wreck from three guys staying here while I was gone.

I've spent the morning cleaning.

At least my moUTH is clean. (Thankful for any small thing. :D )

I'm not sure how SMArt it was to leave the house in the "care" of three guys, but it SMAcks of blatant sexism if you have to do the cleaning too ...

HECk! I was just glad the house was still here! And the dogs were still alive!

I'm happy to clean... I'm a stay at home mom and Hubby works very hard.

But, if he ever retires... he'd better look out! Ha!

You deserve beTTEr, Lydia. I would tell the three house siTTErs that basic etiqueTTE dictates that they pick up after themselves. Tell them if they don’t, they will receive an eviction leTTEr. That should get their aTTEntion.

LOL!
They did a pretty good job of it. Usually, Hubby stays here alone and it's really much worse when I get back. This time he had two of his employees HERe with him. I think they tamed him a bit. Ha!

Feeling sad for Roz, I hope she'll be okay. It's tough losing a close companion who means so much to you. Life never seems the same after they're gone. There's no explanaTIOn for why these things happen, but they do. And life goes on.

I am so SADdened by the loss of Katee.

I’ve lost several canine BFFs over my lifetime. They leave holes that cannot be filled.

I’m amazed that she lived almost SEVENTEEN years!! A testament to how well she was loved and cared for.

I'VE been reading about the Rainbow Bridge where loved pets go to cross over when they die. I think Katee will come back in spirit which is why I told Roz she will always be with her in life and beyond. It's just a feeling I had. When you LIVE with a cherished animal companion they often return after passing. I've had several cats come back to me.. you just kind of know they're the same spiritual being.
