With 50 points left yet to score it looks like the only race left in the Top 5 is between Larry and Mark for the battle between 2nd and 3rd. Larry has the edge with a 6 point lead after last night's rollover. Lev has 1st place locked up.
p.s. - This version gives you a nice breakdown of point for the year by challenge Top Ten placement. |

Ah yes, my old nemesis Larry. If memory serves, he edged me out of the Top 3 last year by a handful of points. I fully expect him to lull me into a false sense of hope over the next couple of challenges, then calmly pull a December Free Study ace from his sleeve as the final nail in my coffin. Classic Larry. |

Not going to happen this year. After being in first place until August this year my lead was bludgeoned by Lev. Mark followed up with ribbon after ribbon in the last few months to erase the lead I had on 2nd. I have found myself being left in the dust. I will no doubt be limping across the finish line. |

I'll bring you a bottle of water at the finish line if you can wait for me to get there. Might take me a while... |

I have a question about how the rankings are calculated.
(It doesn't matter to me... just curious.)
MargaretNet came in 20th with 32 entries and 151 points.
PennyStreet came in 21st with 43 entries and 151 points.
ErinKirsten came in 22nd with 22 entries and 123 points.
Lydia (me! :D ) came in 23rd with 27 entries and 123 points.
What makes the "system" decide that one comes before the other?
Are the points "watered down" by having more entries?
Is there a way to do as is done in the challenges and "tie" the ties, skip a number and carry on?
I'm still calling mine a tie for 22nd, but it would be fun to have it official. Ha!

This version (the older one that still updates) probably shows it better because # of entries isn't on it since that has no impact for the Ribbon Race end result.
I think most look at the Ribbons Race overall, but the newer pages that are available have multiple tabs (Ribbons, Points, Average, Entries, Totals) that can be confusing, I agree. |

It's "easier" to get 123 points with 27 entries than with 22 :) |

It's fixed now. The year is the year of the challenge submission end date, so no entries for 2026 yet, but coming soon... |

While I did not make TT this year I appreciate your work a lot. You are doing a great job to add interest to participating in challenges :)
Congrats to all TTers, and especially the ribbon winners - Lev, Mark and Larry.
Anita, Roz and Wendy, get back to work and break up this male domination in 2026! ;) |

No doubt there are many extremely talented photographers that contribute to DPC. Any one of them could be in the top statistical ratings if they decided to put in the time and effort. I could name at least 50 but would not want to leave anyone out! I am looking forward to seeing the outstanding creative and perceptive compositions that are posted in 2026!

Thank you Henk-Jan for doing this year after year! This race plays a big role in making me stick around. And congratulations and thanks to my co-winners, you kept me on my toes the whole year :).
And ladies, it's your turn this year, I know you can do it with your talents, the trick is simple, just enter more!
