I will enter the open challenges. I already decided at the beginning of the year that I would not challenge anyone for the ribbon race, and would only enter the challenges that interested me.
I squeezed in my last extended entry in for July-August, I will miss those challenges the most. |

| I renewed but have lost interest since then. Not sure why. I vote but cannot find anything of note to enter. This wasn't a decision, it just happened. |

I lost interest in entering and voting for several years, entered occasionally in Free studies when there was something to enter, but I kept renewing out of sheer gratitude to the site of making me a serious photographer (at least in my mind :)). And then suddenly last year (maybe it was due to pandemic) I found myself entering more and more, and slowly getting my mojo back. So don't lose hope, maybe try to challenge yourself by learning some new technique or tool (in my case it was a drone). It is sad to see this great community shrinking and shrinking (although it makes getting ribbons much easier than in the days of yore). |

I don't enter anymore, lack of time.
I've tried to get photographer friends to sign up so we can compete against each other, but none are interested. |

I think it is probably related to our being conditioned into having an attention span shorter than a goldfish (yes, someone's studied that) ... :-( |

Have been away for a while due to personal circumstances, but I'm back and the race is still going on. 169 photographers on the list and we have two more months to go.

Last bump for this year. The 2021 race will end with the Free Study 2021-12 and a yet unknown challenge. 179 photographers on the list. Only some excitement left below the number 1....
