Seeing as how my top 3 photos are black and white I guess my niche would have to that...

I tend to feel most at home taking very dark, moody photographs. If they're b&w/duotone and have some grain to them, all the better - but DPCers don't like grain, so I tend to leave those out of challenges. I enjoy taking pictures of all kinds, though. I guess I don't really have a niche :)

I'm not into photography for long enough to have a niche. I did a lot of sunset, landscape and flower shot but I still have to experience with real macro, portrait, event, candid etc. As of now I do like every type of photography I try. Maybe I'll never have a niche anyway. I compose musice for 15 years now and I'm still into jazz, rock, hard rock, dance, classic, metal etc. I'm taking photography seriously for less than a year now...

I'm working on developing my niche in model/glamour photography, although I have a ways to go. I also seem to lean towards B&W or duotone/quadtone photos.

i guess if i had to pick a niche, it would be old cemeteries and life in the South. not that i do either of them well, but i do enjoy photographing those areas and telling their stories.

Cemetery

Life in the South

my absolute dream assignment would be as a concert or musician photographer.

I think you've cornered the market in funny monkeys. :)

I wish I had a niche, something I was really good at and enjoyed. I think I could find a niche if I had more time. I think my niche right now might be taking pretty decent travel photos that impress my friends and family when I get home. However, this is not a niche I really care to put myself in, esp. since I won't have much time to travel in the next billion years nor the funds to support such habits. If anyone has a niche to recommend or an opening in a cheap, fun, and not so time-consuming niche, please feel free to share the details. Thanks.

No niche for me right now either, at least as far as really *good* photographs go.. but I have a hard-drive filled up with photographs of the children in my life, so maybe that's a mini-niche :) Most of them are with my SLR though, after scanning.

Now that I have an SLR-like digital, and these challenges are *really* helping me think about *taking* pictures, instead of just snapping them.. we'll have to see how things go in the coming months and years.

WOW... How cool is that, coolhar??!!!??!?!????? So at least if it's weird to want to take water tower pictures, I'm not the only weirdo! ;o) LOL

Those are wonderful, btw... can't wait to start my own series now!

I don't have a niche. I'm just so slow to learn that I haven't branched out to anything else yet. So far I've been practicing on photographing models. It's a fun pasttime and I've learned enough so that I have some fantastic pics of our daughter (at 18 months she doesn't vogue so well but she does love to take photos with Daddy's camera).

I used to think Landscapes was my niche... but now when look back at them I'm not so inspired.

I like photographing animals, and I have some great shots from various zoos.

I'm beginning to think that Sports photography is my thing...

So, I guess I'm not really good at anything in particular yet - but we shall see where it goes. :-)

You forgot to send an audio sample down with this pic. :)

I have bootlegs from these shows. You're lucky to be able to experience them in person.

This is a good question. My photography runs the gammut, I can be heavy into shooting people for awhile, then animals, and then landscape (urban or natural). So to say I have a niche, to me, would be limiting the amount of things that I find interesting to shoot. I shoot everything, and try to make something inspiring out of it.

When you go to post to the thread you'll see a bunch of buttons under your username. Click on the third one (Insert Image) and paste in the url of your pbase image. To get the url of the pbase image go the page that it is on, make sure you click on small or medium as large images make the dialup people scream, and add .jpg to it. So it would look something like //www.pbase.com/image/6669982378/small.jpg
