I'm really not sure how this'll go over, but I like how it turned out, and it's rather late in the game to do anything else. I wish it weren't basic editing so I could get rid of the extreme highlights and do some dodging and burning, though. Unfortunately, I waited until the last minute and the light was not good at all for photos. My fault for sleeping all day. ;)

As I'm sure is obvious, I'm having fun with using the overgrown grass and weeds of an abandoned lot lately; I hope that and the fact that I've used this bear before don't make it painfully obvious that it's my entry.

Editing: Resized, cropped, levels, curves, hue/saturation, sharpening, border added.

Reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit. I like the subtle duotone - just the color of a faded teddy bear. Nice dark shadows in the grass and good grass texture - both work as a good back drop to the bear. I especiallly like the wistful expression on the bear's face. 9

Feels more nostalgic because it's done in B&W. Nice photo.

My fav so far. Maybe a little fill flash or reflector to make the teddy really stand out??

exelent negative space on the right, the bear face is looking in the right direction, good composition, only thing I think could be better if the bear would stand out a bit more from the background.
The tone in the image works well

lighting makes this tough as a bw...if shot a different time of day, the bear's face wouldn't have 'lost' its definition.

The nostaligic quality would be accented if there was a little less contrast.

nice subject. good lighting and I like the idea of the teddy bear in the field. The black and white gave it texture. I like that a lot.

Has good emotional values, which is further enhanced with the duotone. Personally I find the image a little too contrasty and/or sharp, but maybe that is emphasizing the harshness of the lost childhood.

Nice composition, I like the tone. I like the fact that you didn't put the teddy bear in a "warm & fuzzy" place like a child's bedroom. (10)
