It's not worth it. I want to get Top Ten on merit, not due to lack of entries.

Wait... WHAT?! You've never had a ribbon?

HOW can this be, Gina!?

Wow.

You should definitely shoot for this challenge.

I've been close with 4 hm's, one going all the way back to 2002. Just can't make the top 3!

Hopefully one day.

Well... I am entry #4. I expect that I'll end up in the same place and I'm fine with that. ;-)
Let's see what happens! Maybe this will harken my triumphant return. ;-p

I am so very sad about the turnout for this challenge.

I was looking forward to commenting and voting on a bunch of entries.

I am too...well we all have no excuse not to vote and comment on every entry, should take us no more than five minutes.

Looks like everyone is a winner in this challenge, if it stays at five.

You have commented on 6 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.3333.

I was pretty honest with most of the images I hope no one gets offended, that is not the reason why I commented. The main exercise is to learn from critique, after all that’s the only way I ever did ;)

I fully understand the motivations behind this challenge, and at a time of greater participation it would have been an interesting exercise. will still comment as I said previously.

But with that said, considering if this were ever to be run again at a time when participation would be sufficient for winners to be proud instead of literally making half the field no ineligible for the next one, perhaps the participants and the SC can get together and decide if they want to let this run to the end and actually present medals? Maybe the SC could vacate all scores right before the end or would that just give everyone a Blue? I'm trying to think of a way for the comments to live on while the results do not.

For me, I'm going to refrain from scoring in the meantime and simply comment and possibly just say what I would have given it in order to make at least one part easier for now.

Shame to see so few entries but I appreciate people have more pressing issues to deal with. I am curious if there are actually many active members with no ribbons.

Anyway I have voted and commented. I have tried to be as honest as possible and hope the entrants appreciate this is just my opinion and totally subjective.

it looks like a DPC world record with the fewest entry, why not we give them all 10 and make another DPC world records having all blue :D

If you give them all 10 then your votes will be scrapped. If we all do that, nobody will have a score at all!

I'm an active member with no ribbons. I'm in two other challenges right now, but I didn't enter this one because I wasn't able to go out and shoot for it.

Thanks - yes I hadn't considered the challenge topic is rather tricky for those who are forced to stay at home at the present time - that surely must have had a big impact on the number of entries.

Unfortunate timing!

I will say that the landscape in this challenge is rather bleak... I would like to see this return later when the world is not so out of whack and legitimate time can be put towards it.

Many of us deemed essential services are busting ourselves to keep many services operational, while trying to minimize our exposure (pun intended) to the public to keep our families safe.

I think running this alongside another challenge would be good. If there are not many entries, it would not be hard to vote and comment, and honestly it may cause some people to review the way they look at their scoring (on it's on/rated vs the pack/what speaks to them/etc). Or maybe it wont. I dont know... I'm just here to have fun and treat this place like Whose Line is it Anways? - the games are fun and the points dont matter in the end.

Can the SC at least fix the one photo (of six) that isn't oriented correctly?

I've had this happen to me four times now. (Apparently, I can't be taught. Ha!)

I just took it. I don't think it would have been something that SC should do for me, so I didn't ask.

*sigh* Here they are, in all of their glory (and my stupidity):

This one, I call wasn't my fault, since I didn't know about the "bug" of entering a vertical image straight from my phone. It appears right side up on the phone in DPC, but is only shown to be sideways when viewed on a "real computer". It was totally surprised, even though I'd seen it happen to someone before me.

This one was my fault for not remember the "bug"... It was supposed to be vertical, and I didn't know it wasn't until I got to a computer. It didn't bother me, though... it's almost as good sideways, I think. *rolleyes*}

This one was my fault, since I knew the "bug". However, I discovered it in time to ask someone with a computer to generously rotate it for me. However, when I go to the photo page from my Portfolio, it shows as sideways. It also shows as sideways when I "Preview" this post. weird

This one I also say wasn't my fault, since I shot "Square Mode" on my phone and had no idea if it was vertical or horizontal, since it was actually â€Â¦ Square.

I started a thread warning others about it, but it seems that I can't remember it myself. *rolleyes again*

Voted and left critiques on all entries. Hope I don't get spammed for being such as asshole.

I'm thrilled to see so many commenters have picked up on my image and its intent. This is a very much intended outcome, I edited things this way to get my desired effect.
When people look at this later, please realize I'm truly capable of much better, this was intentional.

That is all (and yes, this could fit 3 different photos of the 5, pretty sure my anonymity is safe based on just this comment).

Why would you intentionally enter something inferior you're capable of??? me no comprendo
Getting a ribbon is something you should earn by yourself, work hard and love what you;re doing, results will follow.

I totally agree with Georges. I was going to say the same thing but I didn’t want any backlash. But now that it’s out there I thought it was a bit strange that you said you could do a lot better, we can all do better, this was your chance to shine. Anyway just saying no hard feelings please ;)

The challenge rules state that were I to enter an image, having somehow snared a red aeons ago, I would be "drawn." Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind having a portrait, oil paint, please, to hand down to my heir. You know, to be reverently hung in the Great Hall of the manor.
