ORDinarily, I'd point out that Lydia missed the turn, but I suspect that Jo made an edit and shOVEd her letters in after the subsequent post.

Not to haMMEr this home but, I've noticed posts don't always show up which tends to be a little confusing. I think it's a technical issue that occurs during the weekend. So, maybe it's best to just post during the week.

In Recent Forum Activity your name showed up as the last post all weekend in spite of the fact I posted. It's done that before so I think it's a technical screw-up. Even if I refresh the page it still shows up that way. So you never saw my "not to BEMean anyone" post until yesterday even though it was posted dURIng the 17th which was last Friday. It's infURIating!

I'm a hABItual poster (look at the top-ten lists) but I've had to temporarily cut back due to travel and some time-critical projects.

I'm not complaining, it's just an observation. (Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself in here.) What has ALP in it?? ALPacas are cute, they resemble llamas. Let's go to the ALPs for an ALPine vacation! I could use one.

TRUely! Let's go! It's so freakin' hot outside. I can't get the pressure washer to start pumping. I have people coming over for Memorial Day. I'm worn out and haven't even gotten anything done!!

I AM complaining. :D

Yikes.. sounds like you hAVE your work cut out for you. At least you hAVE a few days to get the pressure washer pumping. Holidays suck unless you ignore them, which is what we do. ;-)

It gONE six o̢۪clock here in Scotland where I am spending ONE week of my holiday. Peter might get his drONE out to play if the weather stays as warm as it is. However, I think it will rain tomorrow.

That sound like much fun, Ellie! I hope it doesn't rain.

Even Hubby couldn't get the pressure washer to work. So, I looked into renting one. $200 for two days. For $430, I could buy it!

So, I grABEd a new one (yes, I know it's incorrect spelling for "grabbed". :D I'm blaming the fact that my hands are shaking from the pressure washer and I can't type. :D )

A LAMent on an old pressure washer that has been replaced by a new one. Sounds like a sLAM dunk to me.

You reminded me, this is sHAD season and yet another year without any due to over-fishing. They're very boney and not everyone likes sHAD which run the waters from the Chesapeake to the upper Delaware.

At least there has been some recent supPORt for cleaning up and restoring the ecological balance in the Chesapeake, as well as other PORts like Boston Harbor.

Over-fishing and polluted waters have contributed to a diminished Shad population. By removing dams, installing fish passageways and restocking rivers with hatchery-raised fish, shad can gradually be restored to the region̢۪s waterways. REHabbing the Shad population will take some time and a lot of work but it will be worth it in the end. For anyone who has enjoyed sauteed shad & roe for dinner I'm sure they will agree.

To me... Boston Harbor, etc... are just ports. And ports are in the CATegory of cruises.

I love to cruise. I'm happy to eat shad on the ship, if they serve it. :D

I'm no expert but evidently they're called Gizzard Shad & Hairback Herring in Australia. As for palatability, I can't verify that but you could CATch one and see how it tastes (after pan frying).

You beat me by 3 minutes!

Just pop one on the stOVE and voile'.. just beware of the bones.
