Oh my Ray... hope you're okay.

Have a meeting with Dr in AM. Will advise via email as I don't want to hijack thread.

It's a DOS command that means "redirect output to" .. By following it with the name of a text file, you are creating a file with the results of the command in it.

For some reason that didn't work for me, but I followed the directions on how to perform a traceroute from the Sargasso page linked to in a previous post and that worked. I sent the results to them and got an acknowledgement this morning. This is the last I'll be on here for a while, unless the site starts working for me through my ISP, so I'm hoping this will all get resolved soon. I can't see traveling across town just to visit a website if I don't have a reason to be there in the first place.

I would be remiss if I did not take this oppotunity to thank Cory for all the efforts to figure this out and initiate the repair process.

Thanks a bunch my friend.

Hi Cory,

Thanks for confirming. We have heard that the issue is resolved with Charter and Cogeco but have not yet heard back from Bright House Networks.
Any further remaining problems of an identical nature, I will just need the user's IP address.

Best regards,
David Croft

Hey Langdon,
I think Cory deserves at least a couple of months of complementary membership!!!

Ha... I'm just hoping he's not too annoyed that I usurped his prerogative.
08/26/2013 07:26:20 PM · #147
Cory, it's one thing to have to deal with niggling things like style, and pixel size, but another thing altogether when a portion of the paying membership cannot get onto the site. Langdon may not be appreciative, but he should by no means be annoyed at you resolving this issue when he clearly doesn't have the time.

ETA that this issue (fortunately) bypassed me, so I did not have a vested interest in having you resolve the matter.

Just a quick note: Don't send your IP address if you are with Brighthouse, or have already reported issues. No need to double up the support tickets. :)
