I had the same issue two nights ago on my phone while I was at a restaurant. I assumed I was just having a coverage problem. Though I had never seen that particular message before. Haven't had the problem since.

It is Facebook's upgrades and the new Photoshop 6 Cloud that are causing the problems. At least that I what I am telling myself. Empty your History folder and all caches, that may/will help out.

If you have a laptop you could edit all your photos at home then go to a hotspot with the laptop and upload them to enter. You could also vote from the hotspot. I know it's not as convenient, but it works

Definite consideration...I just won't vote for awhile...I haven't even tried to find anything for a challenge since Fri. But if I can find one its what I do when we are camping (find a hot spot)

Thai Food? :P

Can you not get to the IP address? 78.158.93.74

You could try putting this in your local hosts file:

dpchallenge.com 78.158.93.74

In Windows, your hosts file (no extension) is in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ unless they changed it in Win7 or Win8 (I still use XP) - you can edit it with notepad.

We tried that IP...didn't work...my ISP (have I mentioned that I have learned more acronyms than I ever wanted to know in the past wk!!!) is " trying to resolve the problem".....pfffffttt

Have you tried torches and pitchforks?

I rarely get the results I want, but it does make me feel better. :)

I am adding them to my arsenal!!! Ironic thing is that today I got the notice that I have 21 days until renewal....hmmmm what do you think??? NO Word from Langdon (NOT that he could necessarily fix it but it sure would be nice to get some kind of acknowledgement) that being said lots of thing to be considered....what would you do....hmmmm

Switch ISPs or move. Of course, DPC is my crack, soooooo..... You'll probably do something more reasonable.

In any case, renewing before you can actually sign in and upload is pretty much worthless, so I think you should probably wait until DPC works before you buy it again. And frankly, Langdon probably should consider giving you a prorated fee given that you have had to endure what must be terrible pain and suffering, and haven't been able to access DPC properly (mostly the latter, but the former is funny as hell).....

Changing ISP' is a serious consideration ..:on that is looking better and better everyday!!! Until a year ago I didn't even have a choice...sad to live in such a large population yet only have one or two ISP choices..

As to the 2nd part of your post...pain n suffer'n you have NO idea!!! Snort

As of yesterday, I have been having the same problem as Janine. At the moment I am writing from a different computer across town that uses a different company for their internet access, an incredibly slow AT&T DSL connection. At my house I have a much faster Charter Communications broadband connection. I was able to get on yesterday morning. Later in the afternoon, I could access the site only with my kindle, but I couldn't sign in. Later that evening I fired up the desktop and could not get on DPC with that, and the kindle would not load the page either anymore. DPC is the only page I can't access. I've tried different browsers, it's not my firewalls or network connections etc., etc. I'm only having probs with DPC. I'll try entering the isp directly when I get back home. Just wanted to add another voice to Janine's. And changing to a different isp is not an option...AT&T blows.Hopefully it will remedy itself in a day or two!

My connection to DPC dropped for the first time on Thurs. morning on my computer--but not on my cellphone. It has dropped & come back several times since then. Currently, it's OK. I didn't do anything to try to fix it.

In a bad way I'm glad I'm not alone!!! I've been talking to Waddy all week he has Century Link up to yesterday he could get on...now he can't ... I've posted on FB to see if any of my friends can and what ISP's they have...I know that earlier this week I tried the website Sargasso.net they are on the same server as DPC - I could not get on it. Maybe a couple if you can ck that out? Also send in a ticket to SC (Langdon) that there is still a problem...haven't heard from him at all...

Sounds like they could be having DNS issues at the hosting site especially if you are not able to hit the other shared server.
