That's probably a good idea..

What? I mean really, what just happened?

Sorting out issues with a new server we're on. Sessions were getting corrupted.

Everything looks good right now... thanks!

oh my god, i can login!!!
anyways, back to my painting, see you folks shortly, Lost is on his way here in the next few days!

Would've been cool to have last week - we were at the Toronto Zoo with the pandas and albino lions, be fun to have him in shots with them, but alas, didn't work out that way. :)

Langdon - as of last evening I cannot sign on...I continue to receive this message "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.dpchallenge.com". I have Brighthouse ISP. They have started a ticket for me. Is there a solution? I've read this thread but no answer.

1) Internet (home computer(s) will not connect to DPC (this is the only website that will not connect)
2) cell phone will only connect IF Wi-Fi is disabled on my cell phone. (It has taken me all day to find this thread via my cell phone)
3) son in law has same ISP provider...he tried to access...he can not access DPC.
4) we have re-set, re-booted, erased all cookies on our computers - modems

Any help would be appreciated...I want back in....hmmmm maybe that's it...I've been locked out??? I'm going to cut/copy to the other thread.

Try connecting directly to this IP address rather than "DPchallenge.com" ...

IP address for www.dpchallenge.com:

78.158.93.74

Langdon mentioned new servers, and there may be a new static IP address or something, which has not made its way to the DNS server your ISP uses.

(Also sent via PM)

an/or try opening a command window (Start, Run, "cmd") and type ipconfig /flushdns [Enter] to clear your DNS cache

When signing on, have you tried clicking "remember my password" box. That worked for me on getting logged on until Langdon fixed the server problem.

In any case send a ticket under help, contact us, dpc administrative inquiry. Spell out the details in the msg box.

Disregard if you've already done that.

Oops, sorry.
I'm not a techie. Perhaps send a DPC administrative ticket so Langdon can sort it out.

@ Ja-9: I have forwarded your post in an Administrative Ticket, but have no idea when Langdon will see it.

Upon re-reading your post I think the problem is with your ISP, and that they have blocked either DPC's IP address or a block of addresses in which it's included** ... otherwise there's no reason two of you, using the same ISP, should not even be able to connect/see the site; if it was a problem loggin-in or voting once connected it would be residue of the previous problem, but I don't think there's anything Langdon can do to make it so you can't even see the site, especially when everone else can ...

**maybe someone filed a complaint about nude photography?

Maybe the new IP address hasn't propagated fully yet? - I've known it to take up to 48 hours when changing hosts. And connecting to the IP address doesn't always display the webpage in these cases.

The new server hasn't fixed the problem with drop down menus on the iPad.

It's not fixed for any apple devices. and it's been an issue for almost a year now. But i'm thinking a hardware upgrade wouldn't solve the problem?

Edit to include android... read the post incorrectly. The end result is just as disappointing.

I can vote. Yay! Good for all of you, because I'm insanely generous...

I cannot get PMs sent from my email to appear on DPC. The Android's "Swype" feature (a method of typing) is not supported on DPC. Used to be, which is weird....

Still can't access...only via my phone - no voting , commenting or uploading for me....sigh

The tech at Brighthouse (the last one my husband talked to after 3+ hours) said that it would be 48 hours or so before it might get fixed...he also said he was going to send a ticket on to a senior technician ... But at least he listened to Ruck and wasn't reading from the prompted Q&A!!! He seemed to understand it.
