Bob suffers from premature manipulation... It's a very serious issue and you should be more understanding...

Oh gosh, I hope he's got something for that!

BTW... I've rethunk the process of picking the 10 originals. This was the only part of the competition that caused a little friction last time. I'm thinking of perhaps assigning everyone a number and sticking it in a randomizer, then asking you all to pick an original starting at the top. That way the final 10 is picked more by the group as a whole instead of just 3 DPCers.

Just thinking out loud and using it as an excuse to bump...

I'll join...though I doubt I'd have time to edit all 10! But it will be a good chance to compare what I do editing with others!

I hope nobody is discouraged from joining in just because they don't have the time to do all 10 edits. Just having another original to choose from is golden. The only requirement is that you be available to pick your top three.

Hey this sounds like fun... and seeing as how the regular challenges have been lame as of late, I'm in... I can't promise I'll be able to edit all 10 images, but I'm more than willing to give it a go...

Here's mine. Exported RAW from LR (only editing is that I took care of the majority of the 100 or so oil/dust spots on my stupid D600 sensor for you).

How can I export a RAW version here I thought that DPC wouldn't upload that???

Yup, workshop wont let me upload a "NEF" ( Nikon RAW ) file..... :(

AWD_3153.NEF -- This is an invalid file format for a portfolio item (F1,8,). We are currently only accepting gif, jpg, and png.

Ive converted to PNG and uploaded

Heres mine....

Quite poignant really, this was taken in Rishikesh (Northern India) just a month ago where they had terrible floods two weeks where somewhere between 5000-20000 people have lost their lives....! No, I know you've never heard of it, the Indian government are keeping it very quiet..... Terrible.

This gent is one of many of thousands of pilgrims who travel from all parts of the world to visit the home of Lord Krishna. Sadly, he may no longer be on this world with us........

RAW files are not in my workflow, I have no practice with it, I hope I don't have to learn all-of-a-sudden!

I don't see any abstracts yet, I hope you all don't mind if I post one. The PP possibilities are wide-open. If you've always wanted to try a flip'n'blend, this is your chance!

Ok, I did mine as a JPEG...if a different version would be better let me know...

I struggle with landscapes. I think I have a good basic shot here and I'd love to see what your takes on it is. The lighting was super good. Later evening. Hope you have fun with it.

Here's a link to one of the past ones to give you an idea.

Basically it goes like this:

-Each participant signs up with a link to a full res original in his/her workshop.

-Participation sign up ends this Friday July, 5th, at midnight.

-10 photos will be hand picked by a small group of fellow DCPers and will be posted to a seperate thread Monday. This thread will be similar to the link above.

-Each participant, whether their photo was picked for the contest or not, will have a week to edit these 10 photos by Friday at midnight. NO editing restrictions, but the owner of the photo may provide insight in their comments section as to what they're looking for and editors MUST include their editing steps in their comments section.

-During the following week, the ten participants whose photos were used will pick their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo and points will be added up for a winner.

Sign up here if you're interested but remember to post a link to your original in your workshop by Friday.
