You think you are the anti-setz ? Is this something foretold in a book that I missed ?

Please don't elevate him to 'walking on water' status. ;)

One digital art site, as requested

While Worth-1000 has been about for some time I think that would swing the pendulum too far the other way.
We are just having growing pains around here with a family dispute.

There are people here that appreciate your work I can only speak for myself I respect you as a excellent Photographer and have read your tutorials When I was considering buying Photoshop Elements you answered something I had put on the forum and said that was all you used on your photo that was all I needed to buy it and I haven't been sorry even through I don't know how to do everything Advancec editing allows

What I'm glad to see is that the names I recognize (magnetic9999, muckpond, karenb, generale, gordon) have managed to still remain voices of reason even though their talent is equal or greater to the thread originator's.

i don't think i've ever EVER been referred to as a "voice of reason" before.

Well I have, but not lately, and not around here :)

I think you are very well respected. If not, at least myself. (which isn't saying much :D )

wow! this post was surely a time killer...and a reminder of how intellectual evolution of human kind might have stagnated somewhere between neanderthal and modern human :)

So I guess having a Digital Art category for each week's challenge is out of the question? It seems that might be a more amicable solution, although you could have the server problems aforementioned several pages back.

My only problem with this is that it doesn't address the basic issue of how you decide what is digital art or not.

Having somewhere to put it doesn't do anything to help define what it is or isn't.

I meant after digital art is defined in the rules for the site...after the argument of adding elements/removing elements is exhausted. Just a suggestion. I don't have a clue as to how to decide that argument.

two words for all the people that need basic photography advice and tutorials:

"Use Google"

That's what I did :). There's TONS of info out there.

Or go to your public library and get a book.

I find your attitude really insulting and narrow minded.

I'm rather new to this site and having read the tutorials and many of the fellow photographer's comments, I really think that John Setzler is one of the best photographers participating in this site, and also one of the very few that actually helps other fellow photographers with excellent comments and tutorials.

I've for sure learned a lot from him and I intend to continue learning, not only from him, but from any other experienced photographer that is willing to share their knowledge with others.

Well, if what Mr. Setzler wanted was attetion, then he certainly got it. Can we just forget about it now? Those of you begging him to keep the tutorials, do yourselves a favor and get and get a life. There are too many starving children in the world begging for food for you to be begging for something so insignificant as a tutorial, especially from someone who obviously doesn't give a rat's bottom. He's not the only source of photographic knowledge. Like others metioned before, there a gozillion websites on that subject and don't even get me started on books. Now, I say we forget about it and move on. :::June passes some beers around:::

I think this thread has outlived it's usefulness.
Thanks for all your opinions.. just that the conversation is quickly deteriorating now.
