A small group in the SC might be sort of nice, so that we don't wear ourselves out commenting.

I'll stick with this one. I have trouble staying with a month long sc, I'd never do a year. |

No no - let's do it. It'll be an 'exclusive' SC. I like fewer people - it's more manageable. Also, you know people always jump on when the train is rolling. |

I don't see it as competition. I see it as an opportunity to participate in two SC at the same time. Or to fail to complete two SC's at the same time (as my history indicates) :D

Looks like this SC is going to have some serious competition |
IF PPL WANT TO GO IN THE Photo a Week 2011 (the serious competition) AND GIVE THIS ONE A MISS THEN LET ME KNOW ..
AT THE MOMENT WE ONLY HAVE 13 PPL .. if we dont get more i'm wondering if so few ppl is enough for a side challenge .??. :)
i'm thinking of joining the photo a week 2011 myself .. one pic a week for 52 weeks on a theme .. could be good . |

Since I fizzled out on the 2nd Layered side challenge, I would like to give this a go. I am trying out a new way of life for the New Year. I would like my theme to be on "inspirational photos - with text incorporated"
Thanks for doing another side challenge Roz! |

I'll be in on this. My theme is "Whatever I Feel Like". |

It was a good call to let each of us do the thing that interests us individually. That will make the images posted a good assortment of various interesting themes instead of all of them being similar.
I am happy to see that some of the people here will be friends who have been in several S C's that I have joined over the last couple of years.
Since I am planning to try in-camera processing, I may post the originals as a thumb when you open the photos that I put in the S C. There's no need to comment on the originals. They will probably look pretty bland.

I've wanted an opportunity to process some shots of my first daughter's birth taken with my old Olympus p&s. This sounds like a great opportunity. I have so many shots of my second daughter's birth once I got my D80.
In other words, I'm in.
Thanks for the sc Roz. |

I'm torn because I want to do both!!! I might try to combine both, but I'll make this one more about retrieving gems than shooting new stuff, which I'll do for the other one. But I reserve the right to change my mind. More than once. LOL!! |

Awww, there's no way I can pass up a side-challenge without rules.
Put me down for "Experimental" Roz. I'll look forward to January and a month of strangeness. |

Could I change mine to 'black and white & revisiting 2010 work'.
Thanks for setting this all up :-) |

Since I didn't do as much shooting as I wanted in 2010, I'd like to just 'Revisit prior work' and try to move out of my comfort zone. Thanks, Roz!! |

I'd like to join if I'm welcome. Since it's January and bloody cold out, to be realistic my challenge would be reprocessing past photos with maybe a splash of new photos throughout the month. |

I'd like to join. I can use this side challenge for my experiments with Corel Painter 11.

I'm in! I just got a new flash for Christmas I need a reason to practice with it, so put me down for still life. Since it's winter and the weather is not cooperating this may be the only kind of photography I can do for awhile. |

I'm in, but won't be doing a daily photo. And I will let you know my theme. Probably a slice of my life.

Rozzy - please count me in.
I've been absent for ages, I'd like to try and re-enter this world. |

Can I play please???
I like the idea of revisiting old work in photoshop. I just got CS5 and want to learn how to use it, so maybe this will work out pretty good. I might drop a new photo in every once in a while because my external hard drive is in another state. |
