Sorry to post 3 in a row but I had to put something in here, and the previous space because I mucked up twice while trying to post the little dog, and it wouldn't let me just abandon the space.

Well it's been a bit of a crazy month so haven't done as much as I thought I was going to do with the Point and Shoot. but I got this with my iPhone and was playing around with some of the iPhone apps.

I'm not sure I like it or not.. what do you guys think?

My apologies to Yo_Spiff and everyone else for my flaking out on this SC. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or happy holiday season. I'll try to get some comments in on the images posted. Take care everyone.

A few to finish up the month from some climbing I did. The whole point of this little trip was to check out some peaks I hadn't done and which I couldn't find information about online in order to plan a longer 6 peak day. Yesterday, I went back and did the 6 peak "Grand Slam" (not sure why it's called that), but these pics are from the recon day a couple weeks back.

Nov 30 - Railroad crossing

It was fun this month just using my P&S (although sometimes I liked to throw it out of the window). It's a nice backup for emergencies, but I do prefer my DSLR, so I keep it just for the snaps and sometimes a nice photo. Thanks Steve ( Yo_Spiff) for the great idea to start this thread and everyone else for the nice photos!

Thank you Steve, ( Yo_Spiff) for running this side challenge. I have enjoyed participating and as I don't have a DSLR, I was in familiar territory. Thanks to everyone else who shared their work and commented on mine.

Thanks "Yo!" for the SC. It was fun when I had time to play. It's been a very busy month.
I have been out of the country for 10 days this month, so the last week has been all about catching up with everything plus holidays. I shot about 2500 images in Mexico, so sorting, processing, and communicating with race teams has taken a lot of my computer time. I will try to go back and comment on the SC shots when I get everything back to it's normal routine. .
I have enjoyed getting a look at the places where everyone lives and seeing what you are all interested in. Photos are worth a 1,000 words.
This SC has helped me to work out how to get acceptable photos with the limited abilities of my ever-handy P&S in low light and other difficult shooting situations, which will be useful in the future. It was a good learning experience for me. I generally use it at work for copying phone numbers and other printed info that I will need later, and for family and pet snapshots.
One of my two Fuji A920 P&S cams got the screen broken while in my luggage on the way to Mexico for the Baja 1,000 race, so I'm replacing it this month with a D7000 with 18-105 VR & 55-300 VR II glass. My niece offered to pay me to shoot her daughter's wedding, so we made a deal for me to get the D7000 for the shoot. I'm feeling like a kid waiting on Christmas
Thanks everyone for having a look and making comments.
