we went to the australian museum today to see if my winning entry in the eureka science photography prize was displayed yet .. it wasnt ...
thought we'd only spend a couple of hours max but it wasnt nearly enough time .. its the best place to visit .. of course i'm slightly biased being australian .. but i also love this sort of thing .. so interesting ..
these are all candids i took in the museum today .. i've put ones in our side that have ppl in them for the human interest ..

the absolutely fantastic thing about using a fisheye lens is that ppl dont think they're in your shot and you can get great candids on the sly .. !!

Heh, I think we need a camera phone challenge next month. If your phone doesn't have one, then just play with and make it LOOK that way. :)

I found three new Android programs today that are free:

Photo Illusion
Camera Illusion
Fx Camera

They are all super fun!! Here is my latest attempt:

Judy - Check this out! Great minds think alike!

SC camera phone

I started it this morning, when you were all in bed over there in the US

Roz, I started a camera phone SC for Sept if you're interested? There were lots of great camera phone shots in this wotever challenge which was what prompted me. I have enjoyed this one, even if I haven't been able to post too many.

all these shots were taken driving home today after we'd done the sydney harbour bridge climb
gives you a bit'v an idea of the beautiful city of sydney as seen from a moving car with a fisheye lens .. !!

hey sarah salmiakki.. i would love to do the camera phone sc in sept but mine is so ordinary that the pics it takes are embarrassing .. i spoke to judy jutilda and asked if you guys would consider a combined sc .. camera phone and something else .. but thinking about it now that probably wouldnt work ..
i'm really tired anyway .. maybe another sc altogether .. ?? ..
any ideas anyone ..?

my post for the 27th, a little behind, this is the whole art presentation from our local Royal Botanical Gardens, taken the same time as my submission of the 25th

I was checking my camera lying down, going through the settings and all that. Lens came with a dark filter, I assume it was put to protect the lens, since it didn't have a cap. I cleaned that very nicely and put it back, looking at the ceiling through the viewfinder, and snapped a shot.
This is the shot, I liked it so much, there is no editing, just resize, i had to post it. This is my second ceiling fan shot, one with 350D, but this probably much better.

Picture of 2 friends of mine while on vacation. Probably will make this a nice 8X10 for them.
