Show me an on camera flash shot and square crop or people always makes me think of Diane Arbus. The main difference here is that the subjects are not addressing the camera, which would of course then not be a candid, which sparks a debate at least in my head. Which is "better": a shot that engages the photographer with the subject or one that does not disturb the subject and captures a natural, unaffected state? I've always felt somewhat deficient in engaging the subject which is perhaps why it is a debate at all perhaps only in my head. It would be a silly debate since the approaches are so different and both merit worthy.

This reminds me of the exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. I think dinosaurs are just the MOST interesting!!!
