Hope things are coming together for you. Keeping my fingers crossed and sending telepathic hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery. Hang in there. If anybody can do it you can.

I am so sorry to hear that you are having health issues and that you may not be fid of the soon. My favorite of all your pictures, so far, is one that reminds me so much of home. you and your cowboys are Texas with a BLOKE accent, as my husband puts it.

So here goes,

Get Well, Feel Better, and keep calm because life will get better. Things will settle into a new normal for you. More years that I want to count after a car accident I live relatively pain free which for years I didn't think would ever happen.

Has anyone heard from Judi or her family? She's been on and posting occasionally, but there's been nothing for 36 hours now...

Judi, did you read about endurance rider Meg Wade's accident and how well she's doing now? Keep your chin up, tincture of time makes a big difference.

I had the Mri yesterday and then went o hospital. The docturs and neuro specialists conferred with many people for abou an hour before they came and told us that the MRI shows i have healthy young brain. i like the young part. they said in a few weeks i should be back to normal but its goinmg to be a long road. iam so happy cause i will get to talk again and i will remember things. they asked me yesterday if i knew my kids birthdays but i didnt and cried and my son cried too. that was hard. but iam back home. very tired but happy. i start physio today and they said i can start speech therapy. i was scared yesterday as i was drowsy all day and my right eye went cloudy. i made lots of mistakes typing to people.

Holy sheepsh**. I didn't even really read this thread properly until now. Judi, you're one of the first photogs I faved on DPC, and part of my interest/obsession in post-processing was born from your HDR tutorial. Please, please get better.

i am finding ithelps when people tell me about times and things i did and others did, it helps trigger other memories and piut things into a timeline. i ask things a few times over cause i forget i have already asked, but i am retaining more each day.

like the faces i see in the forums and the pictures people posted, i dont remember all of them and i dont understand why i took those photos. they said i will get that connection back.

my friend explained it in a way that helps me. my speech has stopped so the brain can fix the other areas first.

Thats amazing news Judi!

I remember one time I was complaining about something and you explained that I should consider one of the DPC challenges as if a client came to me with certain criteria. The picture I took after that was one of my highest to-date and its because you took time out to help me out :).

You are the only person I compete with on this site week after week that I seek to do better than with photography. You rock. I didnt have much of a family growing up and people like you (and others on this site) really make up for lost time ya know.

If you haven't already, you might want to go back and read the Team Arabesque thread and start from the beginning. You, me, bear_music, PennyClick, ursula, Brat, NikonJeb, hihosilver, DrAchoo, yakatme and myself competed as a group for a couple of months. The thread is kind of a running commentary of that time.

Great news, Judi, about that young brain.
So you get some weeks of hard work - you've worked hard before.
But you know, a big sigh of relief came through the DpC community
when you told us the good news.

This is great news, Judi. It's gonna be all right! Fabulous!

As a decorated veteran of speech therapy, I say "Keep plugging away at it no matter how boring and repetitive it seems, the payoff is HUGE!"
