I am SO worried for you and your family Judi - may it turn out to be but a blip on your life's road.

Such a sweet and hopeful image - hopefully the symbol of beginnings!

PLEASE keep us informed - you and yours and in my heart and thoughts today.

Way too many favourites to choose one! Get well soon, Judi!

I hope that love changes you too Judi, to be better than ever.
I had a serious head smack by falling off a scissor lift, about 11 ft to a concrete floor, and stayed dizzy for a couple of years among some other quirky things, but now I am generally about back as before. An event like this does change the way you think about life, and how precious and fleeting it can be.
It will take time. The first few days are the critical ones as you probably know, so if you are over that part of it, it's just a slow and difficult journey back to normal.
I'm wishing you the best as you recover, and hope that you will keep in touch here at DPC and on Fb.

Judi, my prayers go out to you and your family. I wish you a full and complete recovery - in fact, with what I have seen of your tenacity and strong-willed nature you will most assuredly overcome all the troubles that ail you now. It will take time - and that is what is scary and maybe frustrating as you progress...but you WILL get there. You have the love and support of family and friends and that will see you through. Sending light and hope.

As to the favorite photo been meaning to add another to the favorites but this is the VERY first one that I fav'ed of yours back in August of 2006

I am having difficukties with remember tools and things in PS..so I am copying/pasting my about it here.

"TThis was created by using incense smoke images and motorbike parts for the dragon...placed into shape before creating the surrounds and background...in this case, the person, hills, tree and smoke (clouds) over the top, then colours were introduced to give depth and atmosphere.

I hope that helps."

I cant see your words for tears. They say that is part of the head injury. Drs said I may not get everything back. They say my brain might have had some shearing occur. I believe that is when the 2 hemispheres are jolted in different ways and they break apart in some areas. they say that is why i can think clearly but cant get the words out of my mouth. I can however type ok with two fingers a lot easier than i can speak. I still have problems with stairs and my right hand is not working. I can use the first two fingers. My double vision doesn't bother me too much and my hearing will hopefully settle. I'm allowed small amounts of computer time to keep my brain stimulated but i sleep a lot. I have lost some long term and short term memory, it appears to be all bad memories. I can see faces from bad times but i don't feel any emotion with them. But i can feel good emotion. I look at my images and I know I took them but can't feel the connection with them. I tried to create an image yesterday on the pc but it just wasn't happening. I'm scared, as are my children. My mother-in-law is coming up to help take care of me. They say it may take a few weeks but I may not return to normal. They speak of personality changes and other things. But I am determined to get better and shoot again and ride my horse one day. Those are my goals. I do have 2 entries in voting right now. They will be my last for a while. I am sorry for any bad i may have caused anyone in the past. I don't remember what i did but i know i only want happy positive times. there is so much anger and bad in the world. i don't want any more bad to happen. Please be happy everyone.

So love you.. Get better girl. You're a tough cookie, you will do this, keep the fight baby.

I've just been reading through all this. I had missed the long post by Judi, and I did not realize just how serious the accident was :-( I had visions of Judi in a hospital bed with a turban of bandages terrorizing her nurses and champing at the bit, so to speak.

So I'm stunned for you, Judi. This is terrible. But I have confidence you'll be able to lick this and get back in the saddle, of your horse and of your life, metaphorically.

We're all here for you. Don't worry about any "bad" you may have done, that's for sure.

I dont know what is more shocking the accident or that the fence didnt break.

I have been bad about keeping up with my FB, but I will now.

I love looking at your images; they are stunning and are an inspiration to me. I have not been here very long but the following image was one of the first that I viewed and it made me want to look at your portfolio. I know there are others that have a more "wow" factor, however, this one stuck with me. Hope you are back to taking "wow" images soon.
