Nikonrich you are a member here, for us to be able to comment on your photo in the side challenge please upload it to DPC rather then posting a full image from outside.

In case you don't know how:
You can create a folder in your portfolio and title it "DecWhatever" or whatever, upload your pictures to that folder, copy the six digit ID # of your picture that appears in the URL (far right end), go to this forum, click on the icon second from right in the Post Reply window, and paste the id # of your photo. Add whatever comments you like and click Post
Hope that helped. |

In our family it is a tradition to take a flower from one of the arrangements at the graveside of a family funeral. We usually bring them home and let them dry. This is from the funeral of my wife's uncle. We buried him a week ago today. This is the flower my son took. I find the way it is drying and dying to save the center most portion of the flower(where the stem would come up) to be curious. It's sacrificing the outer portions to save it's soul if you will. Fitting for what it represents.

Not the worlds best pic, however, rainbows just don't happen right behind riders at an event every day! Bummed I missed the Rainbow challenge, WAS NOT going to edit on the laptop for it and I didn't get home quite in time to process.

I planned to take some pictures of yellow leaves on the ground at school, but the field was covered in rainwater and I didn't want to swim all that way, so I stopped at an apple orchard on the way home.
