Lots of really good images in the this challenge. I'm so glad I didn't enter it. LOL!

Just finished scoring this one. Very variable - some outstanding shots and some less so. Also some outstanding DNMC shots which is always a little sad. Some would have done well I reckon in the FS.
I was going for 100% comment too, but I missed one and can't find it now so if that was you, I apologise!! I don't have a horse in this race, so well done all. :o) |

You can see what one you haven't commented on, just click where it says this:
Filter:

What Karen says is probably the quickest route, but you can also tell if you've commented by looking at the little icon (next to the 10) in the thumbnail view. If you've commented in will be yellow with lines, if no comment it's white. |

Perhaps you are the baghead who left me a DNMC comment? If so, you filled a square on my DPC Bingo card if the reason was what I think. No real explanation, however, so I am left to guess. Thanks for that much explanation however. Most don't even say that much.

Possibly. It is all a question of interpretation and for me, deep DOF requires more than having (as several did) a complete picture in focus, all of which is at a serious distance. That is not tricky to achieve and in my opinion, misses the point of the challenge. Sorry if you disagreed...

Not necessarily. I anticipated that critique in my pre-challenge notes. I also don't feel as bad now about the DNMC comments I'm handing out myself in this and the OOF challenge. Thanks for the clarification. |

Am I losing my mind? You have an 8+ picture on the front page. You report that you have a 6.39 in current challenge. I comment that 6.39 is a great score but may seem low compared to an 8+.
Is that out of line? Is that against the rules? I've been posting in the forums on many topics to many people.
Oh...the suspension is over on 12/17/09.

I looked through the shots...(I can't vote) so I had to log out to see the full size. I think they all had DOF "quality". Some of the "distant" objects were blurry and may score low but IMO met the challenge.
I guess we all see things differently !

Probably a 5 at best. DPC bingo is a game I play to help me look at my own entries with a critical eye. I list the anticipated critiques in my pre-challenge notes on the shot. Someone "fills a square" when they leave me one of those anticipated critiques. |

That's pretty smart...keeps it interesting as the voting is taking place. Smart too because if you can predict what they may say, you might be able to "fix it" prior to entering !
