I'm thrilled beyond words. Means a lot to me. My very first Lensbaby challenge entry, no less, and it takes a top-20 and a postlumie... Thank you very much!

Thank you for letting me share a lovely afternoon with the office.
It's probably the only time I'll tie with Bear_Music. |

Yeah, mostly you BEAT me, in the ones that count: 4 Posthumous, a postlumie, and a Kali make you an artist to be reckoned with :-)

Thanks! I figured this photo would be a stretch, but this candid came together at the right moment, right place sort of deal... I just liked it more than any of the others I took near store windows... I'm not really one for setting up shots, I like the subject and surroundings to be natural, which I feel adds an element of the unexpected and gives unstructured personality to every moment in time. Thanks again for the recognition! |

I'll reply here too:
Thanks Spiff, but in my opinion this is not a shoehorn... it is a picture shot through a shop window.... could you expand on why you think it is a shoehorn?
It matches the challenge description perfectly:
"Challenge Description:
Take a photograph looking through, or of, a store window"
And if anyone else could expand on why this is a shoehorn too, I'd be grateful.

It's not a shoehorn at all, though I admit my use of it may be slightly confusing. I totally recognized your entry as being a display in a store window.
If you have a look through my portfolio, you will see I have been entering my shoehorn in various challenges and have a growing collection(The June side challenge resulted in most of those). It started out as a spoof on the idea of shoehorn entries, and I am now using it as something unique to me, so what else to use for my humor award?

I am very glad of the posthumous red for
still life
AND for Don's distinction between shadows and shadowing, which I am pondering. (Missed the brown by 1, too!)
(Still have to figure out how to post the hot red hands; my Windows isn't working properly so I am using kubuntu which I am even less handy with). |

Ah right, thank for your message Steve. I guess it's just me being a forum newb... shoehorn means shoehorn to me... without knowing the history, it means what is says.. I'm sure you understand.
Thank you for my award, which I graciously accept :) |

Humor awards for "Asia".
to smichener for this
goes to HawkeyeLonewolf for
Please note: These are for humor injected into in a non humorous challenge. They are not meant to imply the entry was a shoehorn. That's MY specialty. |
