An indoor shot today. This is a rather thoughtful New Year card and bottle of wine from  Hanae and  MAK sitting on our kitchen table.

Day 14 
The tower at the back is called Beetham Tower. The tower houses The Hilton Hotel, some floors of Posh apartments and a cool bar.
I will go and take a picture from the street one of this days it is impressive.
And now I will try to do some commenting. |

This morning I went to the end of the road to the North on Kaua`i and took some pictures of waves since there is a big NNW swell today. The waves are reportedly going to be in the 25 to 35 foot range today. Yesterday the Hanalei Pier had waves crashing over it and some of the roads in Hanalei near the beach as well as further North had ocean surge over them. The news reported that the waves yesterday were some of the biggest ever in Hanalei but I have only lived here for 2 years so I cannot comment further. I am posting 3 photos but do not feel obligated to comment.

didnt have time to take any shots outside today so i snapped this one as i left work and it sucks. But at least you can see where i spend most of my day.

It's Monday, and that means it's animal shelter day for me! So, my official Day 14: 
and a bonus which isn't as strong on technicals but is really cute: 
In addition to taking pictures I spent some time today determining the actual (as opposed to labelled) gender of 8 little hamsters and separating the boys from the girls. I also was asked to determine the gender of a rabbit, which I did. One of my lesser-known talents, identifying reproductive bits on rodents and lagomorphs. Don't you all feel special that I shared that?

I've been playing at portraits again.....this is the med secretary at my doctor's office and is a holy terror. I think she's just one of the most beautiful young women I've ever met......this picture does not do her justice IMO.

I have no idea what happened.....I couldn't take portraits to save my life until about a year and a half ago. I've been really happy with the way portraits work out for me these days.

Take your pick. One comment per person if you want to comment , ok? I am getting overwhelmed with comments in this side challenge, and soon will not be able to keep up with returning them all. I will do my best though, and finish that later if not this month. I am greatly enjoying sharing the Florida scenery with everyone.

I went to my favorite lake today to shoot the sunset, which didn't do much, so I snapped a couple of the local great blue herons.

I didn't forget to post a picture yesterday, I just ran out of time! I've been spending the last two days trying to get this stupid project done in Excel. ( I suck at Excel!)
