HEY...its a bigger than normal bird, and I see them everytime I go to an Ocean...its a Seahawk. LOL.

Owe I should probably mention I live in Missouri, surrounded by land on everyside. Really don't get to the sea that much. LMAO.

For those as don't know, "Seahawk" is another name for the Osprey, a large, fish-eating bird of prey. It's a raptor, like Hawks and Eagles.

I used to live in Nashville.

I hope the Chargers kick the Titans ass today.

C'mon people, put your predictive prowess where your trash-talk is. I went 1-1 yesterday. I should have gone with my heart and picked the Jags. My mistake. Here again are my predictions for today's games:

Giants at Buccaneers -
The Giants layed it all on the line last weekend against New England, in a game they could have just phoned in, and by all accounts, played well enough to win (doggone those Perfect Pats). They showed a lot of heart and determination, and I think that momentum will carry through this weekend. I honestly don't know much about Tampa Bay - never saw them play this year. So...
Pick: The G-men
Giants 28-14

Titans at Chargers -
The Chargers are heavily favored at home, and the Titans are a little banged up. Vince won't be 100% and the Chargers have too many weapons. Look for this to be fairly one sided.
Pick: Chargers
31-13

Giants-Bucs is the one I'm really looking forward to today. The Bucs have to be salivating at the prospect of being the next team to rattle Eli Manning and then sit back and let their secondary pick him off. I'm predicting Coughlin will have the G-men ready with a game plan to sidestep this pull out a victory.

On the other hand, it just occurred to me that Florida has a chance to pull a two-fer here, perhaps making up for the Dolphin's pathetic season??

Good football people! As T.O. would say, getcher popcorn ready!

hate to say i told you so......no i dont! ok so here is my new dream. My hawks goto GB and beat the pack....dallas cannot beat the giants for a third time in 1 year and the NFC championship comes back to Seattle baby! (well a guy can dream right?)

I'm already on record saying the Dream Superbowl is Favre vs Brady, the ancient dynasty-that-was and the aged QB vs the new dynasty and supertom. But I have to say, it would be truly delicious, if it came tot hat, to see the Giants vs the Colts in the Superbowl, the battle of the dueling Mannings :-)

Yeah I watched the game. That was really lame. Bob Glauber had this to say about it:

Play of the weak: Santana Moss, WR, Redskins. Trailing 21-14 in the fourth quarter, Todd Collins badly underthrew Moss deep in Seahawks territory. But rather than come back and try to at least break up the play, Moss gave up on the route and allowed Marcus Trufant to make the interception. Trufant returned it 78 yards for a touchdown.

Here ya go:

****************

I really havenât seen this get much play, maybe because this was the most overlooked game of the weekend. After losing to the Seahawks 35-14 (fittingly by 21 points) and seeing his season come to an end, Santana Moss was answering questions for the media. It seemed pretty clear to me that he was hanging his quarterback Todd Collins out to dry with one of his remarks:

Collins ⦠finally had a pass land in the other teamâs hands. When receiver Moss gave up on a route deep down the right sideline, Marcus Trufant easily hauled in the ball and returned it 78 yards for a score.

âI thought it was a dead play,â Moss said. âThen, all of a sudden I look up and the guy is catching it like a punt. You hate to be in a situation where the ball is coming and you donât even know it.â

That changed the game from 21-14 with about five minutes left to 28-14, essentially giving it to Seattle. I canât stand one teammate blaming another following a loss, much less when heâs the one who quit on a play. Thatâs like a double-negative, blaming a teammate and quitting on a play. I know youâre pissed your season just ended, but keep your mouth shut, Santana, and stop blaming others. Poor form Santana, poor form.

I'm sorry but I don't believe Favre will make it through Seattle. I will root for the guy, I think most will, but I don't think so.

Seattle vs. Green Bay 27-30 (in overtime SEA)
Dallas vs. Giants 35-10 (Dallas)
Indy vs. Jags 31-10 (Indy)
SD vs. Pats 31-35 (SD)

Dallas vs. Seattle 28-10 (SEA)
Indy vs. SD 21-10 (Indy)

SEA vs. Indy 42-28 (SEA)

OUCH! I could careless about the AFC. I'm consistent in that.

OK. Jags vs Pats (Pats by 10)
SD vs Indy (SD by 7)

SD vs Pats (Pats by 21)

SEA vs Pats (SEA by 1)

The reason for the difference in the SD Pats game, is I think SD will wear themself out on the first win either way it goes, I think they'll win the first game, and lose the second.

My power has been out for a few days- lets see if I got anything right.

Redskins 14, Seahawks 10 (Wrong)

Giants/Buccaneers: This is going to be a good game. I think the Giants can pull this off. Garcia has had a great year for the Bucs, but the Giants should be able to put alot of pressure on him and help lower some pressure on Eli. Giants 17, Bucs 13 (correct- Giants 24 Bucs 14).

Jaguars/Steelers: Best game of the weekend. Everyone is talking defense on this one, I predict an offensive shootout. Jaguars pull it out with closing second field goal- Jags 30, Steelers 27 (How much better could I be- Jags 31, Steeler 29) Someone should've taken me to vegas on this one.

Titans/Chargers: Phillip Rivers is a punk and should thank his lucky stars that he has LT. LT scores 3 before halftime, sits by the 4th. Titans 14, Chargers 28. I was right on this one on so many levels.

Just thought I'd pop in to toot my own horn.

Green Bay 36 Seattle 21
There is no way Seattle wins this game. None. They don't play well on the road and expecting that to change at Lambeau is wishful thinking at best. Hasselbeck hasn't performed well in the playoffs and in this situation (like the last time) he will try to do too much. He'll probably finish with lots of yards and lots of INTs. On the other hand, look for Favre to have a huge game.

New York 34 Dallas 31
This is probably more wishful thinking than anything but the G-Men definitely have a shot here, IMO. I'm still not sold on Romo as a reliable clutch player yet and with Owens hurting he will definitely be tested this week. Not that Eli is any better but he is playing with renewed confidence and the team is more balanced than Dallas which could be key here. In the end I think Dallas will lose this game more than the Giants will win it. Either way it should be an entertaining game.

New England 26 Jacksonville 21
This game should be fun to watch. Jacksonville is overmatched here but if they can stick it out early on, I think they have a chance to win but only if they use Jones-Drew and Taylor more and by that I mean a lot more. Gerrard can't be expected to do what he did in Pittsburgh. If they start throwing when they should be trying to win time of possession they will lose.

Indianapolis 31 San Diego 17
Despite the Chargers win over the Colts earlier I don't see them being in this game. It appears Gates is out and that's a huge blow to the Chargers. Chambers was a nice addition to the team but he doesn't pose the problems Gates would. Expect Indy to go up big early and take Tomlinson out of the game.
