Typical wildcard game. Whoever screws up last loses. I see Hasselbeck is in his vintage playoff form...

Phew. Well, the Seahawks stay alive for the opportunity to get creamed in the Super Bowl!

And now the Pittsburghs are getting pulverized, courtesy of ridiculous amount of turnovers...

If I'm a Jags fan I'm livid after that defensive pass interference call. If anything it's offensive interference. Seem to me the play called was to have the receiver go out and try make it look like he was interfered with. Didn't look like any attempt was made to catch the ball.

I agree with the play as called. The defender was all over him and made no effort to separate. Defensive interference was the right call.

Kind of hard to let the receiver go when he has a hold of his face mask. Looked like a very sly play by a veteran receiver.

The facemask contact was incidental. The guy was crowding him so much, his hand could have just as easily ended up in his crotch or his jersey. The defender was all over him.

Exciting game though, no? I have no fan interest in the game. I'm kinda cheering for the Jags as an underdog though. I think they have the best chance to knock off the Pats.

Exciting yes. Interesting spot Garrard is in now. I guess we'll see what he's made of. Hopefully he won't pull a Collins and just chuck a gimmie INT.

Hawks Hawks Hawks.

*I'm the 13th man. I only show up once or twice every few years and I don't paint my face, but I cheer for them in a quiet, dignified manner - although I almost tossed my cookies when the Redskins scored two TDs and took the lead in less than 4 or 5 minutes of play. Congrats to the Seahawks! *toasts & sips his martini*

YAY!

I don't think I will be getting to sleep anytime soon.

Go Jags!

So it's true what I heard?

Nobody was cheering for the Jags.

In other news, Tom Brady named NFL MVP today with 49 out of 50 votes. Favre had the one other vote. Go Pats!!!

The steelers and jags game was pretty exciting! Seahawks won't make it to the superbowl Dr. Achoo because they will be creamed before that. Whats so quirky about the Seahawks record? They lost 6 games and thats the type of football they played all season. Name a good team they beat?

Redskins! ;)

The Redskins? When did they become a good team? Is it because the last four games of the season they beat 3 struggling teams and the cowboys who pulled their players after the first quarter of a meaningless game?
01/06/2008 01:33:27 AM · #96
of course I'm a SEAHAWKS FAN! Its the only thing that allowed me to capture it as beautifully.

Aside from that there Def. Line is going to smack the hell out of whatever QB is playing, and they have Vetran experience Offensively, not to mention A former League MVP!!! Not to old a fella either for his first ring.

Either way FARVE VS. HASSELBECK, will be the GREATEST GAME of the season, ADDED BONUS : NEW ENGLAND, AND INDY SUCK!

I'm not arguing much here. They've hardly beat anybody decent (Tampa Bay being the only team). Part is because they had a really easy schedule and didn't play many good teams, but the clearly lost against the few good teams they played (Pittsburgh and, ummm, Cleveland and New Orleans?).

Still, the NFC has no dominant team. Green Bay is much like Seattle. They have a good defense and rely on a wily quarterback for their offense (ie. little to no running game). Of course they will have the home field and thus should be the favorite to win, but really it will come down to who's quarterback is hotter on that given day. Dallas is good, but has not played good of late so they are beatable as well.

Even though my team is in the NFC, I'll fully admit the real Superbowl will be the AFC Championship game.

Of course they are the same, beause Hasselbeck, and Farve are old buddies, and teammates.

Hasselbeck has openly admitted Farve as being his Hero/Idol, and are being coached by the same coach. Very much the same indeed.

I'll admit the AFC is probably the best two teams statistically, but the HEART is at LAMBEAU FIELD this weekend. The last two teams with BIG HEART, and Inspiration!

LOL. Stop drinking the kool aid. Yeah they are two gunslingers so it should be exciting to see who gets to 3 INTs first.
