If Grant rushes for more than 80 yards, I'm changing your user name to "Ken Rockwell." ;-)

I think we all need to stop calm down, relax, and breath, .....and start betting camera pieces. LMAO

...of course I would say that partly because I know Seattle is going to tattoo Favres ass, and the other part is because my camera pieces really suck, so not too much to lose. LOL

I'll toss in my prediction here too, but I'll put up some numbers for Alexander too:

Grant will have a 100+ yard day and get in the end zone twice
Alexander will get 45 yards on the ground and Mo Morris will add another 30 or so. Neither will score on the ground though one may catch a pass if Seattle can work the RBs into the passing game.

I'll go on record saying...Brett wont even finish the game.

Seattle's D-line is licking there lips right now. Can somebody tell me the stats on Sacks. I'm not a statistician, I only know from watching, but bet Seattle was in the top 5.

Edit

Heres the stats, ya'll ready, I just found out.WARNING, GREEN BAY FANS, KNOWN TO CRAP THEIRSELVES AFTER HEARING

SEATTLE, finishes 4th with a resounding 46
GREEN BAY, 13th with 36

If a passer has no time, he cant throw. Tried and true stat.

ok i got it, the one stat that outdoes them all! Seattle players will be wearing battery operated pants and gloves on the sidelines to keep them warm, game over!

(you think i'm joking about the pants and gloves..... but i'm not)

Just found some more good SEATTlE stats.

2nd in fumble recoveries (can you see Brett dropping one)
3rd in Interceptions (can you see brett throwing one.
4th in Sacks (can you see Aaron Rogers coming in)

Ouch that must really hurt! Does the Legend have enough juice! Or will he pass it on to his Ol' buddy Hasselbeck.

heres a stat for you. Favre is, was and always will be the best player holmgren has ever coached. now if you would like stats on that one, go look at the record books. shouldn't be very hard to find because Favres name as at the top of just about every page.

Now lets just enjoy watching GB pluck the SeaChickens.

The best player Holmgren ever coached is likely Walter Jones....

I wish I could record my son, when my wife cheers on Brett Favre.

He runs around saying "I like the Green Bay Peckers just like my mom" He gets mad when I choose a different team, the only time its ok is when it has to do with Tigers.

So my 5 yr. old is rooting for the Jags, and the Green Bay Peckers to win.

lol my kids live in Spokane and I get them monthly, and call them weekly. My son is 11 and also LOVES Favre and the Pack, when i put him and my daughter on the plane this last weekend I told him "your boys better win Saturday or you're gonna hear it from me on Sunday" he just looked at me and said "you're goin down" :)

Brett Favre seems to reach into peoples hearts, its amazing how many people he reaches including moms, kids, dads, hell even my brother in Texas, a diehard Dallas fan admitted to rooting for the guy.

Yes, I'm a Seattle fan first, but even I respect, and love the guy. Favre is Legendary, no matter what happens Saturday.

Okay, it's official ... with this post the Seahawks have had more press coverage IN THIS THREAD than all of SI all year. Ha! :)

Let's see, would that be the 9 games in which Grant went over 100 yards 3 times (with Jackson doing it once in a garbage game)? Or would that be the 9 games in which they faced one team with a winning record? Or would that be the 9 games where 6 of their opponents ranked 20th or worse in rushing defense?

I'm shaking with fear... :)

How did Seattle do against teams with losing records and statistically poor rushing defense?

I wasn't the one claiming my team had a running game...

You'll see that running game tomorrow. You don't have to believe it.

Green Bay's pass rush is pedestrian at best tied for 13th in sacks. Seattle's O-line is also pedestrian (with the exception of W. Jones). Seattle's pash rush is most excellent while GB's O-line is also most excellent.

The chess game continues...

How many times was Favre sacked this year?

15? maybe -- not sure.

I believe you are correct.

Just as well as Green Bay. You would need to look at total rushing yards though because time is split between Alexander and Morris. Neither are going to have as many yards or attempts as Grant.

Well, luckily the game is only 24 hours away. Despite all my arguing and talk, my pass rush isn't what it used to be and I can only bench 120 these days...

Here are some stats I looked up this morning. I copied these out of a PDF file.

This is the 2007 breakdown on individual hurries and pressure.
[thumb]631538[/thumb]

This one does not include week 17 against Detroit
[thumb]631537[/thumb]

The only other stat I can think of now that might have some impact on this game is Favres 4155 passing yards. Which can give alot of credit to the wideouts who lead the league in yards after the catch.

Are you ready for some football? It has been a long two weeks.

Having watched most of GB's and Seattle's games, GB's running game is clearly better right now. As bad as Seattle's running game has been this year, they were easily better then GB the first 7 games as saying GB was pathetic at rushing at that time was an overstatement. I don't think you'll find an expert that disagrees. I don't think you've watched grant play much??? Look up a news article on him. I'd love to see what would have happened had he been the starter from week #1 assuming he'd hold up all year and not get injured. His rushing total since week 8 (when he became starter) is second only to the NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson by only 18 yards!

Did you have to do that by hand? 118 hurries doesn't mean much to me if I don't know what other teams have done. Perhaps it's excellent. Perhaps it's ordinary. Perhaps it's really bad.

But I'm not expecting you to do it for all the teams by hand... :)
01/11/2008 12:32:00 PM · #250
Yes and no, I didn't type it if that is what you mean. I just used a selction tool in Adobe Reader then copied into Photoshop and made a jpeg. It would probably take more time to look up all the other teams than it would to copy the information.
