OK...let's see those shots that are so bad as to be classics here on DPC.
I'll start off with
Love live the meatman!!!! |

Well, nothing I have can even approach meatman, but my first challenge entry was so bad that people mistook it for a completely different technique.

Missed the brown ribbon by one lousy spot with this one (note the challenge topic and the image title):

This was my first it was for the beginning of the end. Several people said it was a snapshot. I was in the arena on the ground on one knee. almost got ran over three times. I do not know what else to do to make it not look like a snapshot but I will this year. I guess I will take a photo from a bulls back. I would have one free hand LOL.

Heck, that ain't even CLOSE to a "classic" bad shot. Scored 4.7+, missed the brown by a mile, amusing image, it's just mediocre, not "bad" :-) You can do worse! C'mon!

I've gotten the brown or close enough to it to not make a difference many, many times...

My 3rd entry, a brown contender, which I am very fond of both for its earnestness and the was this taken with a camera phone comment. Bear's dog, on the other hand, has genuine merit. |

My attempt to take a partially-underwater shot using my Olympus P&S camera.

Only 4 above a brown. I see now what I did wrong, but I loved this photo when I entered it. |

I still think this shot by jacko is the classic, definitive, bad shot.

My lowest placing entry which wasnt cannon fodder for DNMC nazis... I liked it at the time, but dont know how i would improve it right now.
But i always remember one entry to a contest - cant for the life of me remember which. But it was a shot of a green rubbish bin ("trash can" for all you guys the other side of the pond ;)) looking like it was taken with a point and shoot that or massive ISO (read: noisy)... the classic bit was that the image was taken in portrait, but the camera or the entrant hadnt rotated it, so there was a really bad portrait shot of a bin in landscape format... i think it browned. Classic - sorry if that is your shot, but i suppose it is something to be proud of, hence this thread :)

I love this thread !!
Here is my lowest scoring shot OMG I must have been drinking when I entered this.
The real scary part is the fact that it didn't even get close to the brown...still another 16 images scored lower. |
