I just want to point out that this image did not deserve the injustice that it received!

I was one of the three 10s for this one.

Beauty In The Everyday

These were the best in the challenge (underrated or not), IMO.

From "Long Exposure":

From "Beauty in the Everyday" - I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but to me it shows how photographs can affect us all differently, depending on a lot of things. With the mindset of "Beauty in the Everyday" (vice the purer concept of wabi-sabi), I looked at the offerings as just that - an everyday sight that one may overlook and miss that moment of "beauty". To that effect, I think this shot met the challenge well:

Seem to have completely been out of kilter with the voters in the wabi sabi challenge. To me these were easily the best ;)

First time for me to be selected, Thanks mate, it's a real pleasure to be picked alongside the likes of e301, I loved his shot it was total WABI-SABI

To be fair, my picks all did pretty good this week. But I'm posting them anyway. My top pick is one of those rare shots that literally took my breath away. It's why I keep taking pictures. Someday, I'll get one of those shots.

The Hidden City

Just one that stands out a mile in this challenge, the quite simply brilliant. 65/84? 5.2895? You are kidding me. (Actually check out the difference between the ave score of commenters and the ave score altogether to see the difference)

By mark_u_U

Actually we can all gain a bit of inspiration from this as when I saw it I knew that it was likely to do badly because people would not take time to really look at the shot, so next time you have a great picture that is bombing remember that it really may not be any thing that is wrong with your shot!!!

Wow - I didn't see the city in the shadows AT ALL and spent a couple minutes searching the picture - when I saw it in this thread, the first thing that jumped out was the city! Really a brilliant picture, thanks for putting it here!

jonfrommk, thanks for the nomination and your kind words. If you read the comments from bottom to top, you'll note there were some positive ones before yours. But the average score didn't reflect the positive comments. I had no idea why. Then I saw your comment and it became clear. From that point on, the low score stopped bothering me at all. I am now officially an artist. Loved by some, misunderstood by many. :-P

I'll second figaro's picks - all were favorites of mine as well.

i would like to nominate this one for 'textures'. i felt very strongly about it.

Yes, I missed this, too. The "city" is much more noticeable in the thumbnail, but when voting I don't look at the thumbnails.

My top 10 favorites all placed in the top 20 this time, except for this one:

Wow, thank you Shannon :D

And thanks to you and Melethia for the lovely comments during voting, they made the score irrelevant which is always nice.
