I see certain accusations are being tossed around about me.
I am not gay. I have never been gay. And I probably never will be gay. But about those accusations, I didn't do that either. |

I know. Didn't you notice the wink ;-)? I was just trying to get out of writing a poem for your photo.

You were really just trying to ask for some TP from the guy in the next stall, right? And that foot tapping thing - just a type A personality? And the foot rubbing? Just a wide stance. Got it. No one thinks you're gay. It was all just a big misunderstanding, Senator, I mean Don :-) |

Sorry to hear that, Don. You present yourself here as a fairly happy fellow, too. Hopefully things will look up soon! ;)

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Just for the fun of quoting this one more time ... I've scoured the thread and can find accusations only of Don cheating in his side challenge, voting BAMartin's shot higher than his. Where did we find out he was gay? ;)
Hey, Sherpet, good luck in the betterphoto finals, and Lea, congrats on those Editors' Picks!

No, there isn't. Nor is there anything wrong with tapdancing in public bathrooms. |

I have submitted free study and motivational in anticipation of an incommunicado weekend. I am very excited about both of them! Not expecting high scores, but am hoping for some interesting reactions. :) |

Well, no - unless you've forgotten your top hat and cane, in which case, tap dancing in a public loo should be a felony !

So I'm stuck out here in the middle of nowhere, and that could have some bearing on things, but why, oh why, are we (being the Mother Country back there somewhere) making such a huge "thing" over someone tapping their foot in the bathroom? I don't care what the implications were/are as long as molesting small children or abusing animals aren't among them. Is it just me? Am I that out of touch? And what will those to whom the signals mean something (if they indeed did in the first place) do now? Make up new ones? Is there a memo to that effect?
Perhaps I'm just a wee bit tired due to lack of sleep... |

Because we are a nation of prudes, and this guy was one of our prudiest legislators. Foot-tapping and such are codes that men give to each other in bathrooms when they want to um... date. Or so I hear. |

There are a few things going on:
1) The police in Minneapolis decided to crack down on gay sex in the airport bathrooms. Whether that's something worth worrying about to begin with seems to have been lost, so let's just move on.
2) Sen. Craig is quite public about his opposition to gay rights. According to CNN, he has supported a federal constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. He also voted to deny federal recognition of same-sex marriages and voted against including gays in anti-discrimination laws.
3) He's now been caught soliciting gay sex.
4) The GOP, long known to be crazed when it comes to opposing anything allowing gays to lead normal lives, must demonstrate to itself that it's still pure.
5) He also apparently gave his business card to a policeman, apparently expecting the cop to let it go because he was a Senator.
So it's the perfect mix: he and his party both oppose what he's been caught doing and he tried to weasel out of it as if he's above the law.
Edited to congratulate colorcarnival! Way, way cool! :)

Congrats on the POTD! Email pawdrix - if he gets a chance, he'll take a shot for you. |

Whilst I have a vested interest in Entropy, because I'm a sometime member (when I can get around to submitting a shot.) I suggest that the fairest way to decide would be to determine which team has had the lowest overall participation lately. It should be possible to glean from the results threads. |

Just look to see which team hasn't been represented very often in the last few Team Scores posts. To get a Team Score entry, a team needs entries from three different members for that week. |

To all my my team mates, I have not done much this summer. I have the new camera and I'm learning and taking lots of pictures and been lurking in the clubhouse. Things have been hectic this summer. My mom is 84 and I take care of her, and I'm scheduled for back surgery the 8th of September, and I'm still trying to work a full time job. So not whining would not trade my life for anything. I enjoy coming here and just sitting and listening to you all. It brings me comfort. Hopefully this fall will get me out more. You guys are the best. |

Nice to have you chime in when you can, Rosemary. Good luck with the surgery! Do let us know how it goes when you can, too. |

WAIT!!! I was just looking through the last couple results and The Golden Brigade is the best Team Suck team around (meaning we are the suckiest). We consistantly receive the brown every time (probably mainly because so few people are entering, and my misreading some of the contest descriptions doesn't help). So, please come either save us from ourselves, or join us because we embody the very idea of what Team Suck is.
Either way, welcome!
