Guys, I've been lurking occasionally. I've been having a lot of fun experimenting with sharpless stuff.
But I have big news to share with this lovely group ... got a new vehicle (well new for us, anyhow). We now have a Subaru Forester. Might be a problem ... that little car goes fast.

Yes, some of those little New Jersey towns have sneaky speed traps.

Indeed! I learned my lesson years ago. Did you know that a speed limit sign is not in effect until you pass it? I found this out the hard way when I got my 35 in a 25 zone. At least this is what I was told when I received my ticket. The sign was at the bottom of a hill. I sped up at the top of the hill because I saw the sign. The cop was waiting at the bottom on a side street directly in front of the sign. You can only call that a speed trap!!

On a side note... I entered Fill the Frame. I don't know what to expect for this one. I used some of my weird editing so probably another 4 point something.

You weren't removed. You were shifted to "Team Zombie" because you disappeared for a while. You're welcome to rejoin us!

I just enter Fill the Frame with a photo that is NOT DPC friendly. I predict a very low score. We shall see.....

Friendly wager... my entry is less friendly than yours. Whoever scores lower wins the wager.

Are you part of the secret underground punishment team from the speed Free Study?

Part of our punishment was to do an entry for Fill the Frame that's pretty much going to guarantee a poor finish.

I hate it when I agree to something before I know how it'll turn out.

My entry is in, I did the best I could within the parameters......I cannot believe how much I'm hoping for a mediocre score as opposed to getting spanked! LOL!!!

Yippee! My symmetry shot of the Metro was chosen as a top 15 in a contest at trustedreviews.com

The site owner picks the winners of monthly themed contests.

The current contest is "rural landscape," so I figure lots of us entered that recently and have something to send in.

I don't think so. I'm under 4!

Did you fill the frame with empty space? :-) I fail to see how anything can be DNMC - the frame is obviously filled with pixels in all cases....

Had a really nice "thing go boom" last evening - made the trailer seriously rock a bit. Someone I talked to this morning had a great perspective on it, though - if you can hear it, it's fine. :-) Still steeenkin' hot, though. 117 today and 121 expected for the next three days or so. I will say it's a bit nicer here in the mornings than it is in Kuwait. There's that! Think "What are they gonna do to me? Send me to Iraq?" would make a good motivational poster?

You could do something like this shot.

Heh! I'm definitely thinking de-motivational. Think those will get DNMC?

My shot is not dnmc. It's too easy to get a brown with dnmc. I like a challenge!

Hi everyone

...duh...uh?...Ok, so now i know why there's a padlock on beachhouse door, not just to keep me out!!!!

Financing all lined for house, it passed house inspection, lots of little things need doing but not one huge thing, thank gawd, though I'm still getting septic tank 'pump n peek' inspection done, also have to get the wood-pellet stove inspected and certified (both of which owner is paying for!)

Will have to hire a plumber/ electrician/roofer to get pro stuff out of the way, and a general contractor to do some crawlspace work, but again, 80% or so of it is stuff I can do (or get b/f to do, lol).

Haven't taken any pix lately except those of house, ie where I need to re-parge foundation etc...

...and this is a great time to move the thread here, as once the deal's done and the place is legally mine, I'll post a pic of it and you can see what I mean...

Glad everyone else is OK, esp you Deb.

Jeb, great work selling those pics!

Karen, will try to get to you in a couple days, just have to close this deal and dust off my camera. Hope I remember how to use it!!!!

Bye for now
