I didn't enter this challenge but had the pleasure of voting on it.

This has been the most satisfying visual experience in some time.
I gave out alot of 7's,8's,9's and a few 10's. A wealth of excellent work. I will go back and leave feedback as well, when time permits.

I noticed a few excellent 'expert' editing examples as well.

Ahhh! what the heck is going on?

I got a 1 vote, then a bump +2, then a bump -2, then another bump -3, then another bump -1. I have dropped over 0.15 in 20 minutes on 1 actual vote.

Yes, there are some evil things going on out there. I do still have a great score (so I'm not complaining about that, but rather the percipitous drop).

The anal retentive use spreadsheets and calculate each score as they see it come in. If you're a member, you get this cursed thing called and "Update" button and you can hit it repeatedly, see when you get another vote and by how much your score changes. Then you do the math.

Why is it you can so freely hand out scores of 4 but when someone does it to your photo you are shocked? Not everyone has the same tastes you know.

What's your score? It's a matter of statistics. If 74 votes have averaged a score of 7.4 and then 4 votes average a score of 3.75, there is a high statistical probability that it was not by chance that the scores are different.

BTW, I have voted and commented on 63 shots. I have given out 9 scores of 4 (14%) and no scores below. Do you consider that reasonable? I just feel bad because unlike most I a) leave comments and b) leave my score in the comment. If I think a shot deserves a 4, I will say it. Unfortunately that tends to get some flack.

As for my own score, it has continued its tremendous drop, so maybe the high scores were the anomalies. I am now at 7.02 and did receive two scores of 1 in a row. We all suspect trolls, so I'm no different. How does this voting pattern really make sense?

hey fun loving hipsters in this thread! Its all good to "bitch" about your score, but let's not unduly rag on the voters, as it seems, we are all voters. Let's not call them names, because its creating a culture of hatred and dehumanization that I don't really think you all want to exist here.
