My main point isn't that you can't see my photo and think "hrmm, I think I should take a photo like that" -- go ahead and do it. The defenders are correct, I'm certainly not the first person to take a photo of a light bulb with some weird light going around it...I'm sure the other two photos aren't entirely 100% original works of art, but the fact remains that you have to come up with your own title. I mean that just shows a complete lack of creativity.

We're not inventors coming up with ideas to patent while others try to come up with different ways to create our invention and patent their own ideas. We're artists. 90% of the battle in creating something for yourself or others to enjoy is the thinking process. If you are not creative enough to even come up with your own title, you're obviously in the game for a whole other reason. I think that last point has already been proven by Rikki, however, when he showed that he wasn't here to play fairly...just to earn ribbons, no matter how fraudulent those ribbons happened to be.

I'm not angry that he replicated my image or stole my title for that image. It just shows me the type of person that I've always known him to be...and the fact that there are others out there with similar images and like titles, that is just the nail in the coffin as far as I'm concerned.

--

I didn't make this thread to bring up an old topic or to debate whether or not Rikki was an honest or sincere person. I think we're all adult enough to come to our own conclusions as far as that is concerned.

Anyway, thanks to the person who brought this to my attention in a private message. I'll allow you to remain anonymous. Thanks to those who have uncovered the other images that shared a likeness to the original works of the artists here on dpc.

It's a big world, but everything's connected in one way or another. If you're dishonest, it will catch up with you. As long as you get what you wanted out of your dishonesty and you're honestly happy, then more power to you. When you're caught, you're caught, and it's time to think of new beginnings instead of bringing your past along with you to bring your image down in other places.

Oh well...again, thanks for the support, and thanks to everyone who said my shot was better. I appreciate it.

Plagarize!
Let no one else's work evade your eyes
Remember why the Good Lord made your eyes
So don't shade your eyes
But plagarize, plagarize, PLAGARIZE!
Only be sure always to call it, please, "research"

Hell, I don't give a crap about being anonymous. I saw the shot on eyefetch and pm'd him the link. My ribbon shot is hardly original but if you found an extreme close up image of a fly with a hot pink background that was titled, "The essence of an annoyance" why would I not want to know about it?

Would I have pm'd the link if it hadn't been rikki? Only for the reason that I sent it to him to begin with - the title. I wouldn't consider it a ripoff if he hadn't taken "illuminate" with it.

And he didn't know who to give credit to? That's a pretty silly rebuttal. It doesn't take a warrant to do a search on dpc to find out. He already knew the title.
